Kumo Cycles Gus’s Road

I agree, the components are very ‘cookie-cutter’. Totally should have gone with hand made to match the frame and paint. I hear there’s some blind Tibetan nuns with an ancient forge. You should totally check them out. /sarcasm

Man, people are fucked.

Keith, your bikes are rad and I’m in insanely jealous of your skills. Andy, your photos are rad an the location choice was perfect. Gus, your bike is rad and the component choice is spot on.

Actually, you should have just bought a Trek.

the internet: giving arseholes a platform to be arseholes since 1995.

Commenter disapproves of errything but the gatorskins.

Says it all.

I reckon the weight drop with the new wheels and tires will be more like 2-300g pretty good stuff given the enve stem/bars are a bit porky!

That made me Lolz, or it would have if I wasn’t so pissed off.

Gators gonna grate.

Keith now you are building stuff that is becoming noticed in the industry,
Get used to the bullshit there will be plenty more.

Be confident in what your doing and rise above the bullshit because that’s all it is.

The bike is rad some will hate hell it’s not what I would order or build but that’s what makes custom bikes just that.

Your a rad guy the bikes rad and for a equally rad guy I bet.

Just build rad bikes for people that appreciate them, if you keep doing this you can’t go wrong

genius.

YOU ARE correct

+1

Rise above the muck, let your bikes do the talking
You’re doing a mighty fine job, keep at it.

I puked a little bit when I saw this. It’s kind of scary that someone with what appears to be very little fabrication experience and only 20 frames can promote themselves as a this guy does. I sure hope for his customers’ (well, brother’s) sake that he’s insured to the eyeballs. I heard that he was once running a ‘custom wheel building’ thingy but had to get a local bike shop to do his spoke calcs, and had to get the mechanics there to show him how to get a lot of his wheels straight after he’d tensioned himself into a corner. That shit’s scary.

8kg is insanely heavy considering the parts. Spewin’. How heavy is the frame?

…Disclaimer. I don’t know Kumo personally, nor do I know you. But, I like Kumo more. How many bikes have you built perchance? Care to show some examples?

I heard once that Hitler and Stalin both had moustaches. Does that make moustaches evil? Is that comment anymore relevant to frame building than your wheel building one?

Goodbye.

Are you a cockpony in real life or just on the internet?

The aspect to this ridiculous tirade that I find so distasteful actually has nothing to do with the bicycle itself. It is the attack on a person’s integrity and ability to run a business that is disgraceful. Making comments that starting with “I heard” are always going to be dubious at best and in this case stupid. I’m picking you’re only prepared to make claims like these over the internet from Adelaide as opposed to in the flesh.

Comments such as “puked a little bit” are stupid and childish and most thinking people on this forum will see them for what they are.

Oh fucking Lolz, my favorite FoA member speaks again…

1: my frames are engineered properly
2: why fabricate crap about wheel building? What have you got to gain from it

The hate coming from those who do not create anything is hilarious.
So many people who contribute nothing but negativity to this world.

If you have so much to say “Tokyo drifter” then give me a ring and we can “discuss” it 041589008zero
