[MEL] The Hour : Sat 17th Nov 7:30 Fed Sq.

think it’s 321.8!

A great morning! I should have photo’s online sometimes tomorrow arvo/evening hopefully.

Great to meet so many people for the first time! A bit unsure with some though who is who on here

some of my hour photos, (when i wasn’t riding)

Here’s a couple of mine. Photography by attrition, 25 pics taken = 4 worth posting.

I’ll work up the split graphs later

nice to see you doing the dacordi proud Horatio

It’s a great frame- really light and responsive. A perfect daily ride!
Just need to think about the durability of the paint job

Did you end up giving it a clear coat? At least the Chrome won’t come off the fork :stuck_out_tongue:

The chroming on the fork is amazing- let’s just say that the chrome ain’t going to be chipping off any time soon…
Haven’t bothered about a clear coat- honestly I just want to ride the bike! It will scratch, but so be it.

Good to hear your’re not too precious about it. I’d much rather see a bike well ridden, than sat on a pedestel and just looked at.

Split time graphs:

It’s worth noting that the final few minutes on some are a bit off, and Omar changed his gear midway through (apparently, even though the gears are fixed, the choice is not final haha). Next time I’ll use 10 lap splits to get a better overall picture of the ride.

Award for most consistent rider goes to the winner of the best-dressed rider competition: Cressida.

Award for best pornomo goes to Omar

And in a shocking twist… the eggbeater award this time goes to Horatio!

Thanks to Des for all his help on the day. Let’s do it again in the fall. Tristan is already talking about breaking the magic 40km barrier (properly this time).

N.

ps: Don’t forget: Monday 26th @ DISC, see how the UCI do it for reals

Here are some of the photo’s that I took

by the look of that. i have a horrible feeling i may have accidently stuffed up nik’s lap count toward the end. soz, if it’s true.

Nah, I think it’s all good - he did quite a few hard laps at the end… If not, the error will be less than a lap.

Yeah that is shocking!
I always thought I couldn’t spin at all… I really should have brought my track bike with the 94 inches  That would have done some damage…
When can we do the hour again?!

Great photos Lisa! Should put a few on the facebook fixed.org page.
And thanks for the use of your water- who would have thought that you’d get thirsty after riding around a velodrome for an hour?

Thanks guys for a great day especially all the screaming support

Heheh no worries about the water - I wasn’t sure there would be taps available.

Good idea re the photo’s on the face book group, I will do that later

yea, thanks lisa!

i’m already thinking about next time!

Great photos everyone.

Thanks to all that came out and gave it a good go.
