The Miche cog carriers are better than the Sugino ones, but they are still garbage compared to a proper screw on track sprocket.
Dura-Ace for me thanks. (and Roselli if I need 17t or larger)

So I guess I just put my surly on then if I can run without the carrier?
this the carrier system you were going to give me?!?! hahaha
Nah, the one I was going to give you was a Sugino I’d never had any issues with. Only found trouble with the Miche ones.
Edit: As if I’d give you a second rate cog! Only the best for you Rolly.
LUCKY!!!
spose i’ll put my 9mm back in my desk drawer.
Worst euphemism ever.
shit, well played
dammit, I knew someone would make that joke.
Arrived today! Thanks wiggle. Awesome quick postage. Unfortunately they are a gift to me from the wife so they’re in the box until then. Come on 03/07/2013. Ill let you all know how they go once on but at this stage my review is as follows “they come in a brown box”
Well, it’s the 4th. Have you worn them out yet?
( Mine are 2 1/2 years old and still like new)
I’ve had zero problems with mine and I got mine before this bloke aswell. The hubs seem fine so far too.
Not got them on yet. Waiting on a wiggle order for some rim tape tubes and haterskins! I’ve unbowed them tho and damn they feel smooth!
Well I’ve had them on for a week now. Commuting daily and a 61km jaunt last Friday. So far so good. I’m loving them. Never really had anything good in the way of wheelsets but the hubs feel like they are filled with butter and magic. Love me. If you need braking surfaces and want a affordable wheelset go for them. As for longevity only time will tell but if anything goes wrong with them ill make sure to dig up the thread n tell all.
Well I had my first issue with the wheel set today so I dug the thread up to let everyone know. The locknut on the hub (the one that tightens against the cone nut) broke into three pieces. Lucky I was re installing the wheel when it happened and not doing 50kph. I was just putting the wheel into the dropouts and I heard something hit the floor. Looked around n found a piece of the nut. All rusted inside where the break is so assuming it’s been cracked for a while although not visibly as I hadn’t noticed it. Luckily I had a replacement nut n washer off an old r500 hanging in the garage so all fixed up. Hubs still spin like butter and this bike gets 150+ km’s worth of commuting per week plus weekend rides. I’ve check the other three lock and cone nuts n they all appear fine. Here’s hoping nothing else fails.
I’ve had a set of these wheels for a while as well - only thing I don’t like about them is if you chuck a freewheel cog on the “free” side, you’ll notice there is “just” enough thread for the cog to go on - it sort of jams up into the spokes and doesn’t sit super flush. still works fine, but i’m pretty sure its causing chain alignment issues on my bianchi… really wish there was at least a gap as big as a standard spacer between the threading and the spokes…
