Missed Connections - Part 6

^blah blah blah. keep it to yourself mate*, all this shit has been done to death 1000 times before.

Anyway back on track, I saw no one out on the roads today

*not you Pip

@hermes
^ maybe I shouldn’t but I did.
I rather use common sense sometimes instead of waiting in the empty junction for green light. Don’t you?
And I do that only if I think it’s 100% safe. I was aware of every single car or pedestrian when I did go through red and I knew what I was doing.
I agree with “ride safe” part.

Anyhow, I hope that is not a point here.
Regardless of what I did or didn’t that guy was trying to push me off the bike while I was riding, in a traffic… and that wasn’t enough for him so he had to stop and almost start a fight with me?! We are talking here about fellow cyclist… I mean at which point he felt endangered by me or my riding (he stayed safely at traffic light waiting for green)?

If he want to police other cyclist he should join the force and do what professionals do.
Cops are not trying to push you off while you are riding to punish you for not obeying the law.

you are probably right iamsimon…
I was just hoping he will read my comment

The irony is that trying to push you off your bike is inherently more dangerous to you and others than riding through an empty intersection. I don’t run reds, but people can if they want. People like Pip and iamsimon especially cos they got more experience on the road. Didn’t ride today, so saw no one.

I saw Mckenny in my dreams though.

spinergy/white bike?

my ride?
it’s cinelli superpista, white frame, black campagnolo pista wheels

ok different red light runner…woah ride safe sounds like you have a nice bike

+1. any more comments on the ‘red light’ topic will be deleted.

geez, you give some people a little power. i thought you were a socialist, not a nazi, maaaannnn!

that run down lt collins is the most fun part of my morning, and only half because i get a coffee at russell st.

what a fuck wit, you should have D locked the ₪₪₪₪. people can say what ever they like to ya but if some one touch’s you then it’s open season on em!

you guys wouldn’t like a wednesday night ride in sydney… we tend towards 30 of us banging the reds one after another… wrong way up oxford street in a big group is a bit of a sight too… the reds is where the noobs tend to get dropped

we have much wider roads with out trams, police that will only bother you if your been a total fuck wit and they are super bored, plus ALL cycle related offenses have a fine of $56

damn, you guys sound hard…

we ride up hills too so yea you could be right…

I saw the same guy this morning on my way to work. He approached me again but this time to apologise…

All good.

thats a good result!

to the guy heading downtown this morning, around 7.50am. Red and white frame, with some black on it, along Latrobe St, then hooked right into Elizabeth St, He almost read my mind when he was approaching the intersection Like he could hear me saying “SKID”, he locks into nice controlled skid and then he was gone.

Lane’s bike on St Kilda rd. No sign of the man himself however.

Ivanhoe: some kid in private school uniform, shorts and all… riding a spokecarded, Steamroller…

Make you feel old? haha

His regular bike, or his DCxSE?!?
