Next years tour de France route.

Just posted tonight, but it was leaked earlier in the week.
Looks pretty good.

seems a bit mellower. folks are already talking down the schlecks and contador, in turn talking up cadel and tony martin.

The pommie media is getting all jizzy about about getting Wiggins in yellow and Cav in green.

Only 3 mountain top finishes (stages 7, 10 and 17), and 3 time trials - Cadel back to back seems very possible

Hopefully we get to see more of Fabian Cancellara next year, he had a fairly quiet tour last time around.

if contador is racing i would say his odds will be about $1.03 for this race

cadel has a good chance too on this route

but you never know what is going to happen on the road in a 3 week stage race…

one thing i can guarantee is that andy schleck will whinge about something

He already has.

“Ideally I would like to see another mountain top finish and one less time trial. But I have to take things as they are and keep on working on my time trial.”

Contador’s odds may change this time next month…

Sky will have wiggins, froome and porte for this route.

Evans has got to be pleased

Less massive finishes and more mid range passes makes the addition of Gilbert very useful also.

Hopefully this means Jeremy Roy can stay away for a change and score a stage win!

I hope to be over in Ireland and England in the first two weeks of July… my dad is making an annual habit of going to France to watch the last few stages, maybe we can see the Pyrenees / Paris ones.

why does the map include corsica? has the tour ever gone there?

corsica is a french colony.

new caledonia is a french colony and isn’t on the map

weak google-fu indicates that corsica is vying to host the start of the 2013 tour de france. is that the first time that’s happened?
