I thought you said this thread wasn’t about old worn out bicycles…?
I’ve had lots of lower back & knee pain over the years, mostly stemming from a blown ACL that went undiagnosed for 8+yrs & poor pedalling technique that saw me using all quads & lower back instead of glutes & core.
best thing i ever did for my cycling was see an exercise physiologist to sort out my glute activation & join a gym (last november). chased after a mate on a fully loaded tourer for 3 days recently & zero issues with back/knees. massive win.
