Polly in Sydney

Massive big hills in Canberra, and many many good skateparks too. It’s pretty good for riding, but not a lot else. I am keen for the BBQ idea, Pyrmont like last time would be ace. Prolly I need a pic of us with me wearing my full tarckbike kit. For the tarckbros.

Can confirm that this place is rad.

Will lol.

im keen to come over to syd for some riding/boozin/bbq’s!

Are there any long weekends in february? First annual FoA x Prolly bbq/booze/beercat?

nope no long weekends!

Bummer. Still, anyone keen for a race in honour of the great John “Polly” “Prolly” Watson?

I am down for whatever. I’ve got a whole month.

Only if it’s on the velodrome. Or, we could have a crit at heffron park. There’s part of the course where you can do a small section from memory. Brakeless fixed crit on a course of 80m with four corners would be pretty funny.

You’re welcome at my place in Adelaide.

Race from somewhere to Heffron on a nice sunny saturday followed by bbq/booze/racing? Or a plain old inner-city alleycat finishing in pyrmont point park?

Where’s his girlfriend gonna stay whilst you two hook up?

Shit. I hadn’t thought of that.

behind the camera?

i lol’d

Please wear this helmet cover so we know who you are (plus it will fit right in at the Mardi Gras):

Peter Bundy cycles in Riverwood is worth the visit… not because it has good product, but because Peter is a champ. And his old man is a bit of a legend too, I’m sure Pete or Spizza could tee up a visit with Jim.

As for trendie fixie trixie shops, Deus will be nearby your place in Slutty Thrills, and Sable and Argent in Woolloomooloo.

Get a pie at harry’s cafe de wheels here. They taste better after you’ve stumbled down there from the cross at 3 in the morning.

For a good pie, go to Upper Crust in Collaroy.

Being American (wait, how can you afford to holiday here!!) you’ll be spoilt for choice regarding coffee, even though much of Sydney’s coffee is piss compared to Melbourne. Remy and Lee’s on Bourke street does a great brew, also won’t be far from your joint. And bourke st bakery for post ride sugar tits. Oh, sugar hits. The former are in the cross, where you’ll be before Harry’s.

And some more pie.

Apparently Reuben Hills on Albion Street in Surry Hills is really good? Haven’t been there myself but they roast their own and people keep coming into my shop saying how good it is.

Go see rigid bloke.

There are good coffee spots in Sydney, many. We just keep them close to our chests. Plus, we have to let those Melbourne folk think they have at least one thing over us.

Harrys Cafe De Wheels for all your Meat Pie needs. At Wooloomooloo that is… not Maccanats at Liverpool…

not as good as they use to be, but better than pieface!
