Post your roadie

Yeah still got the Addict.
Both are stiff as, and fast. But the addict is better when out climbing, the propel sometimes feels like a TT bike more than anything else. TBH if I had to have one bike, I’d keep the addict. Better allrounder.

I think it does too. I’m not bagging Giants.

Just interesting how attitudes change. Giant have pretty much always made decent bikes, they’ve just never necessarily been fashionable. Nuthin wrong with unfashionable.

Merida is the new Giant. Then in a few years Meridas will be socially acceptable and some other brand will be a cycling pariah. Such is the way of things.

So you mean Giants are the bicycle equivalent of Iron Maiden t-shirts?

Different fuckin sport.

Giants can’t Play with Madness like Maiden can.

Maiden t-shirts have always been highly fashionable, much more than any Misfits t-shirt would ever dream to be.

maiden shirts are A+

How do I get my name on that list?

New race weapon is pretty well bedded in now. Loving the !@#% out of it. For an aero bike, it’s amazingly comfortable, 6+ hours no worries.

hawt

Me either, but…

“You ride pushies hey? Yeah my mate rides a real good one, it’s a Giant. Fuckin sick full carbon everything cost him fuckin two grand ey has 20 gears and everything”

I get this at least once a fortnight at work.

Edit - That Ridley is hot. Are they really as heavy as everyone says? Not that I GAF how heavy bikes are.

I’m not bagging giant either they honestly have the $1500-$4k mark stitched up in road and mountain.
Plus Mitch looks pretty much shit hot on his and any one else will have trouble filling those shoes.

Cheers. Mine is low 7kg range right now, no plans to make it lighter. I think for the typical Australian road race (probably every race bar nationals), the weight disadvantage is more than accounted for by the free aero wattzzz.

The 6800-equipped helium is like 7kg flat for $3,500 straight out of the box. Unreal deal. >>> giant.

How’d you get the 11 speed set up working? campy freehub on the zipps?

Both of those bikes look pretty wild. Have never been sure about the Ridley but seeing one not in lotto belisol livery has turned me in the other direction. That all being said, I ride what some consider the biggest monstrosity on two wheels.

I’m for sure a brand snob at times, but only because I assume the person riding a bike is gonna be one I don’t like. Brisbane does have a legitimate problem with fred’s riding giants (and Specialized) though…

I got the wheels second hand with the conversion already done. I think they’re the 188 hubs which you can now get a a proper shiramo 11speed freehub body for

I believe the bait was well and truly taken…

New bike day. Sorry about crap photo but I went for a ride instead.

Thanks to Keith, Nick and Sime.
