dress warm tonight folks. ride safe, etc, etc.
Do I get a prize for showing up, dropping the 10 bucks, doing part of it and then pissing off home to the wife & kids for the spech dinner that’s waiting without fessing up to secret shenanagans?

Thank you brendan and co.
very decent ride, quite a long distance, we didn’t hit all the checkpoints and still had a long ride not qutie sure how alex4point0 hit all the checkpoints and most of all (found them) in the time + 12 mins.
and campbell probably the fastest pics ever posted.
Hope you enjoyed the osso buco mate,we only got 1 more checkpoint after you left, was cool riding with u man,and yes the brunswick velo one we all couldn,t work out was wrong!!!
Hey good times!
Thanks to Blakey, LAM and Mckenny for ‘cruising’. Thought we’d get the lowest score prize, dammit we missed out!
And thankyou Brendan and Nath NDF good work on the obscure clues.
massive ups to Brendan and Nath and all crew ,super stoked for a winter alleycat, checkpoints were awesome, and pip,i got some rad socks put away for you man, cheers.
I did not hit all the CPs. I might have been a chance at the ‘hit the most CPs’ prize, but had already been allocated 3rd. I did not trade any answers, as I was late to finish.
I started with the nearest W / NW and then worked CW up through Parkville and Brunswick, Fitzroy, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, and then back to the Museum. Didn’t visit anything S of the start point.
I missed two right at the end, the fire safety panel on the Exhibition Buildings and one of the laneway ones off Gertrude (?), the white lines one. Might ask for my manifest back, or a copy to check.
I laughed like a madman into the night when I found the graf at the Clifton Hill rotunda - it’s a gas, indeed*. That made my night, it didn’t matter if I placed or not from that point. I had made a mental note to write down ‘blue lazer’ but forgot to, that’s what I was haggling about right at the end. I should have been up around the 670 mark minus the time penalty. And I thought it was ten points off for every ten minutes late, not for every one minute late! perception/reality
PS Visit this gallery. it’s cool. www.freshlybakedgallery.com. There’s some Phibs in there. I ran into the owner working his night job at the bottle shop on the way home. ![]()
I also wasted time trying to stooge the shoes on the wire at gate 2A Princes Park - had a pinata style crack at knocking them off the wire with some of that plastic pipe that was sitting there (yes I did check it wasn’t a live wire first) – and at ‘post 20480’ or whatever it was, that took ages too, nearly peeled the sticker off, but had a moral crisis at the last moment and left it.
- ozone. lawlz~
i thought it started at 7 so i got there and it was empty
Awesome race/ride, thanx to xbrendanx and staff.
Do we get a list of the correct answers (and where to find them)? I spent a good ten minutes trying to find the MCG light tower no. 5 question, without success.
Great cupcake, too.
Sorry I had to bail at around 8pm but I had great fun riding around with Benzy, Trigger and Coffee Ben - excellently (is that a proper word) creative alleycat - thanks v.much for organising it - lots of fun. Particularly loved the back of the lamppost cryptic clue over near Clifton Hill.
Made it home in time for dinner after smashing it down Punt Rd - legs burning, sick grin on the boatrace when I got home - wife, kids all happy -
…and the occo bucco kicked arse :-D.

Thanks for running the P-cat last night, trying to work out the cryptic clues that just didn’t seem to have answers was rock’n!!
And big-ups to the dudes that helped us find our way to the BCC.
Who is this other Campbell on the forum ???
