stu weir should’ve probably scored a prize for the best attitude in the entire melbourne fixie scene. wife, family, serious job and still managing to find time to ride and loving every second of it. i’m being serious here. dude is a fucking legend.
thanks to all y’all for coming along! we had 48 riders in the end, which is an amazing turnout, given the weather.

My mate was riding his new track bike, just two weeks old, and half way through his front brake bolt fell off. I convinced him to let me flip his wheel and he rode fixed for his first time brakeless. ‘Wow, its so quite to ride’ - classic.
We also found a couple of homies listening to hiphop and bombing an alley wall in Collingwood. They were stoked we were racing and translated some graf for us.

we saw you guys later near fergie st i think, (at that point id also ridden straight into a curb trying to find the mysterious power pole 20408)
a big week at work had me not focusing enough at the beginning and i blew a bunch of directions/map reads (sorry max/jakob/paddy and cam_g)
had some fun trying to work out what i should have been looking for, but next time i’m bringing a proper light or a torch to look for stuff…
haha, yeah i was like from my knowledge of north melbourne he is not going the right way… but its nickcee we’ll follow anyway… bad move 
we then had to trek up this HUGE hill and once we finally got there it was very difficult to find, paddy had to go and ask someone behind the counter… maybe a little TOO difficult brendan.
I also ran into said chain…
Saw it last second so didn’t hit it going fast enough to stack.
Scared the shit out of me though, had no idea it was there.

He got the frame off eBay for $800 and the Aerospoke back when it was dollar for dollar. So, it’s not that expensive really.
