I’ll be coming to help setup/take down/drink and photograph radness. Saving my legs for the Syd-Newcastle overnight that night.
Yep, I’ve signed up.
Drozzy too if his frame isn’t cracked.
Not sure who else from the forum. Pretty much any bike is allowed, for the costume race at least. Rod? Carlin? Harry?
I’d really need bigger tyres than 23’s hey?
I want to ride, but only have my track bike or 29er - and Nell is working all day so will need someone to kid wrangle while I race…If I can ride my mtb AND get my dad to come I will enter.
I’m in, crack or not (can’t make it much worse then could I?)
Marc if you want to have a crack in the costume race you can borrow my bike when I’m done coming last in opens, its 54/55 if it suits, all yours.
HLC - I’d say yes, especially if wet, being Sydney park (and mostly on the side of the hill) its a lot of grass and not much traction. At least something with some knobbiness.
I have a single speed cross bike anyone is welcome to borrow, XL frame.
Will be setting up (read napping) for Newcastle Overnight…
my roadie and 2 trackies can only fit 23’s at the max. Knobblies way out of the question Might come and cheer on/rattle a cowbell.
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated and I may come back to you on this one.
Do you actually need a licence, insurance or anything of that kind to race in the open?
And in general, are fixed gears with a front bike allowed in the open? Still have an old Charge Plug in the garage that I wanted to sell but maybe I just built myself a fixed CX bike for the time being.
These are questions that you should be asking the organisers. I’m pretty sure they’re covered in the FAQ.
Also doing this. Have a fab time though, all of you.
Borrow my mountain bike man. Should fit and I’ll be carb loading at a birthday lunch (can’t make it to the cross).
This is tomorrow, just in case someone missed it. Weather should be just perfect.
King headset installed, knobby tyres on, bottle cages off.
Wooden spoon, I’m coming atcha.
Oh. Cowell and drum stick also packed.
Sounds kinky …
Well played sir,
*cowbell.
Rad bikes, rad races, nice atmosphere. Liked it a lot.
@Alex, love your bike, nice one!
Stuck my head in for a bit. First race I’ve been to and it was pretty sweet. Only had an 8gb card on me so that filled up fast, missed out on getting shots of guys trying to navigate (fall) through that foam.
Love the cowbells!
Far out that was a long day, so much fun to watch
rad day, met some rad people. Props to the dude who did fixed brakeless and smashed it in the costume cross.
