I contacted the seller but I can’t afford another project right now. It’s hard to tell from the pics but it’s actually quite a nice pearl white (it looks to be exactly the same as the mixte I have). Maybe some other time for me.
Brett Richardson has been selling some of his stuff lately, including this very cool bubble gum pink funny bike. Bargain price and you’re buying it form the build so can be pretty sure about it’s provenance and history.
Ends shortly !!! 5 hours to go an only $150

^ went for a steal, even without the parts! so many neat features on there… is that brake on the lower stays?
I nabbed the track listed for happy price, rear bridge sold me!
I bid up to 270ish! Glad I got outbid cause it wasn’t my size anyway lol but a bloody nice fame all the same! Good buying!
Actually I ran into the back of another rider who stopped suddenly (should have maintained a safe stopping distance!). Put a gentle bulge in the down tube, which I still sigh about to this day.
The Michalo’s on Ebay at the moment. It’s going cheap.
Elegantly personified in prose here. Funny, I always imagined you ran into the back of a car, given the damage.
Haha I’d forgotten about that post.
A mate in Tassie got talking to some dude he worked with who used to race on dirt velodromes back in the day. He stopped cycling after his brother/friend was hit and killed by a car*.
My mate got him interested again and so he pulled out his old steed - a ‘Kinnane Special’ and rode it to work! Kinnane Cycles was a bike shop in Launceston, which operated up until only recently.
It has seen better days, but I think it’s a beauty! The owner swapped out the original Brooks saddle for the crappy one in the photos, and I’m not convinced the wheels are original.
My Dad - who used to cycle a fair bit - seems to think Kinnane built their own frames once upon a time. The only other reference I can find to a Kinnane bike is here.
- I’m trying to get my mate to send me the full story and some detail photos, until then you’re relying on my memory.
Pertianing to the above:
another M.H Jones frame.
Simply stunning. Price seems a little steep though.

if its the bike i think it is, its actually a 56.
it spent a lot of time up on bikeexchange many years ago.
Rapallo was partly a Brisbane builder,
It is where Frezoni and Brett Richardson learnt to build,
The label though was kind of like a franchise though from what joe tells.
You bought the labella from Europe and branded them that.
^ Oh shit. That’s amazing…
Peter Blom in Sydney for Engadine Cycles.
Fulcheni. Anyone know anything?
Head tube badge looks a bit Kenevansy:
As does the downtube decal:
I rarely visit Geelong and not see a nice bike - Hillmans, Baums, Bianchis, it’s all there. Yesterday I spotted this bad boy which caught my eye because I have a mate called Regan. Upon closer inspection there were some familiar ‘K’ pantos on the top of the seat stays and fork crown.
So who the fuck is/was Geoff Regan, and why was Ken making frames for him?
Google doesn’t tell me much, but the bike in question looks like it was on Gumtree some time ago and FoA member whatthekoon had a Geoff Regan track bike sold on in 2006, apparently Victorian made: http://www.fixed.org.au/forums/f5/geoff-regan-track-frame-643/
