not sure how much impact it will have, but i’ve signed it and figure it can’t hurt. hell, it might even make a difference!!!

We petitioned this in Queensland recently, our local advocate body was too spineless to support it, as they were too busy organising charity rides or some other bullshit. The idea was knocked back by parliament (despite a massive number of signatures) because they thought it too hard to implement on a state level. Hitting federal is a much better idea IMHO, and in my mind this is one constructive step towards getting us more Euro style laws where cars are generally presumed as being in the wrong in all car-bicycle incidents.
