This is the new ‘urban’ range from Specialized. Going to be run as a separate business from the main company. Had some great influences work on their projects including some peeps from a well thrashed SF DVD.
Some cool stuff though.

Good to see the ‘Dildo’ handlebars hitting mass production…
And a one piece stem/bar combo. So when you decide to swap out the horrible dildo bars you have the ‘option’ of buying another stem as well .
I’m not a huge fan of these integrated bars and stems popping up everywhere. Where is the new langster frameset?
They had both of these on display at the mountain bike world champs in Canberra. The one with the rack is sweeeeeeet!
They’re fine for custom bikes, when the fit is perfect, but a bad idea for a mass produced bike.
American Cyclery in SF have received some of the new steel Langsters already: New Arrivals: 49-61cm size run -STEEL LANGSTER frame with lugged fork crown
On the whole though, I’m pretty happy with the new urban/city/lifestyle/whatever you want to call them bikes that are being released now. Eg, the Trek Belleville, Soma Speedster/Saga/Buena Vista, Pake C’mute, Civias, Spec Globes etc. Finally it’s not just ugly impractical aluminium hybrids or hastily slapped together ‘fixies’.
I do have a problem with a lot of these bikes that are presented as ‘lifestyle’ ‘urban’ bikes yet in the images there are no brakes.
Come on, the n00b that is going to buy one of these urban bikes definitely NEEDS a brake- it’s like there is some stupid stigma attached to having brakes on the marketing imagery.
+1000.
Easily carries multiple slabs on the front and the geo is set up to apparently carry about 70 kgs (average drunk bird) without effecting the steering.
Will be in Total Rush in about 4 weeks.
Will come in handy when your housemate is out pighunting
Hot bird and another slab.
