Or go on 7 Day Wind, Wave & Tide Weather Forecasts (including live wind reports) for Australia and look at the buy & sell for a usedie. Also I believe there’s a fairly active SUP group in Canberra that trains on the lake.
On the subject of surfing - this week is the 100th anniversary of surfing in Australia, and I am working on a story for it - so have been looking at surfing in australia through the ages the past two days…some pretty rad images:

Love looking back through the history. I find it much more interesting than the modern day gym-stretch-diet-compete-sponsorship high performance surfing (respect where it’s due though). Plus as an amateur bodyboarder I just prefer to watch people get barrelled.
I just watched a series by Redbull called Decades which has JOB, Kalohe and a few other guys ride boards from 60s/70s/80s/90s/00s/the future. Very cool to watch talent like that swing in to barrels on an 11ft rig. Recommended.

bullet was recently honoured with wingnut at the riptide readers poll awards getting entered into the Australian bodyboarding hall of fame (which i didnt know even existed).
user tallshipsahoy had a sweet custom found that he spec’d with the same deck/rails/slick colour as the iconic 7-7 (a board i always wanted, but never owned). pretty sure that is long gone given his current position running their retail store/shaping zone.
Found have been (in my opinion) killing it lately.
I’m off to Tupira Surf Club, PNG for next week. Very keen to ditch the crowds.
