Good ride last night. Quicker than a sat which was more fun.
Shockin headache this morning though. Only had half a dozen beers, but did t Sri k or eat much else. Ride home after half pissed and in the rain was interesting to say the least!
yeah it was a good ride, nice to see some new guys there. the more the merrier.
losing people in the city is a bit crap though - what do you guys think about setting a meet-up point when we leave? say the on the airport ramp if we’re going that way, or on the anzac bridge, so people have a half-way point to head to if they get lost/stuck at lights. //??
last week we had a meeting point at the bridge. guess its up to whoever is riding on the night.
feck. was going to come tonight but got stuck back at work
did a good ride out to the aiport and back yesterday
where is “back”
“back” to where we started. the cricketers arms.
Hi, my name is michael chea and im coming on a trip to australia from the US, I was wondering if wed night rides are pretty much a for sure thing and also if there were any other rides during the week?I plan on coming out and doing some sight seeing on my bike
ride on tonight? If so, I shal be there with my beer lifting arms!
i believe so. i wont be there, im at class as per usual. i might get along for a beer, but that wont be til after the ride is done and dusted.
man i really wanted to go for a ride tonight, but got stuck back at work. also wanted to check out lewis’s new bike…
mike - the wednesday night rides are a sure thing, the numbers can be anywhere from 5 to 15 people, but there’ll be someone at the pub when you turn up.
The Saturday morning rides are good too, maybe not quite so many people and probably a bit more relaxed than the hectic nighttime charge through the city.
If anyone’s interested, I’m thinking about starting up a regular Sunday arvo ride, starting from the polo court in Newtown at around 4pm, ie: after the games are done. Would suit me a bit better than weeknights, and might be good since it’s getting dark earlier now. Any takers?
i could be up for a sunday arv ride. wednesdays are out for me at the moment…
if you give me time to go home and swap bikes after polo!
i aint riding bike polo gear all through town. and i just got a 23 tooth cog today.
that puts mean on 48 inches!!!
that lightning last night was hectic when we rode through the city !
sorry we lost a few of you after the anzac bridge. waited at sydney uni, but couldn’t see you guys
i kind of forgot that most people have a polo bike that’s not their regular bike… maybe sunday arvo isn’t such a great idea… will have another think about that one.
sunday brunch ride!!
maybe… or what about a saturday arvo ride, after aj’s session in hyde park?
sounds good. i gotta work till 5 but will be at hyde park after that. would def be into a ride after.
followed by beers you say… I’m in (once i recover from hand surgery, 6-8 weeks)
as long as your recovering hand isn’t the one you hold a beer with, come down to the pub about 8:30 or so, should be just in time to meet a bunch of sweaty bikepeople.
rumour has it it’s going to be a good turnout this week, with the weather looking a bit better. maybe we should ride down to tempe to give people some ideas for easter sunday…
