tattoos

After a contentious day here on the forum i wanted to ask a good natured question. I have been thinking of getting a (small) tattoo on my lower leg, near my ankle. What i wanted know was the thoughts of those who have them (do you still like them?) as well as reputable places to have them done.
If someone gives me money/beer i will have a BSNYC slogan tattooed somewhere compromising.

NikCees got a tattoo that’s Totes Rad and Cale has one that must have been pretty deer.

i see what you did there. :stuck_out_tongue:

if you think your gonna regret it, or you dont know if you should or not, i say dont do it.
If there is anyone on here with tattoos they no longer like, i find that highly amusing

I got my first in '85, still like them all and plan to get more. My only advice is when you pick something, wait 6 months and when the time’s up, you’ll either still want to get it or have decided not to. I’ve changed my mind on designs a couple of times over the years.

And remember… tattoos are like bikes. If you like it, that’s all that matters.

no regrets:

Theres a 6 month waiting list for a tatt from the guys who work at Chaple tattoo, not a bad way to make sure you are 100% on a particular deisgn.

Simon @ highline St Kilda junction is very good.

The guy i share a studio with does tatoos, Cam DIamond, he is on the forum

I have heaps and love every one of them

From the sounds of it you don’t have one yet. But correct me if I’m wrong.

The more it means to you, the less chance you’ll ever regret it. Also, if you care what other people will think about it - don’t get it.

Totally agree on the 6 months thing as well. Six months seems like forever when you want one. But it’s a drop in the ocean compared to how long you’ll have it.

I don’t like my tattoos and sometimes regret them.

what nexus said, wait a while and if you still want it get it.

i have some great ones, some horrible kanji from 15 years ago that is an alsmot shapeless blob and some awesomely stupid ones.

when my dad came here at the start of the year, he’d been banging on about getting a tattoo so i suprised him by booking him (and me) into a mate’s studio and getting him to draw up a design without dad knowing.

he owns a few pizza shops (i also own one with him), so we ended up getting “sacred pizzas” (like the catholic sacred heart but a pizza slice with the flame and thorns instead of the heart).

except he upped the ante and got “slice o’ life” written under his.

that was his first tattoo, aged 57.

No regrets!

EDIT: Obviously this isn’t me.

My chest is harier.

that tattoo tries just a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit too hard.

Do want to see!

this what your thinking HMC? a little above the ankle?
