tattoos

Thread revival a go-go. I copped my first one last year, based on the Robert Williams painting “The Day Joe Smiley Ate the Bad Oyster”. I like Lowbrow art almost as much as I like my pushies so it was a pretty easy design to settle on.

I was pretty happy how it turned out as its a pretty difficult spot to get the 3D ‘popping out’ effect.

burr

wow So many people with tattoo’s on here, well I have probably just over 40 hours on my skin, I have, my right foot dedicated to Dallas Green a Black and Red Swallow, Waiting, done by Malika, Westside. My right arm, which is a crazed ocean/pirate themed sleeve, Paul, Monsterz Ink. The tops of my shoulders which is an unfinished jewelled up pirate sword going through my neck, Paul, Monsterz Ink. Behind my left ear and on to my neck I have a black rose, Caloundra Tattoo (might get removed) and on my left forearm I have the words Modus Vivendi above my own interpretation of a 50s pin up sugar skull, Paul, Monsterz Ink.

Oh and Metal, to answer your question about regret, you’ll probably never regret something you can cover up, or that was done shit, so aslong as you go to a good artist and it’s not on your hands, face, head, neck or above the collar bone line you probably wont regret it. I am studying at the moment to become a Police Officer, I get some shit from some of the old and current coppers who are my lecturers but only about my neck, which I am looking into getting lasered off sometime in the near future if it gives me any trouble.

My left arm is on here, at page 1. Internet famous at last.

Yeh, your “Hug Life” tattoo is awesome. Not sure why you’re wearing a bra though: your man-boobs are insubstantial.

Can someone explain to me about why nautical tatts are popular for non-sailors?

A subtle nod to their love of se(a)men?

I’m a surfer, so my priate and ocean themed sleeve kinda represents how crazy and how powerful the ocean is… in many ways.

ok, that’s respectable. i saw a guy at penny farthing, covered in nautical themes. i wondered if he knew which way north was.

tough, traditional, pleasing to the eye.
here be three good reasons, me hearty!

y’all see the Hori Smoku film, right?

I traipsed around Chinatown on Oahu, searching for his old studio when I was there. Didn’t find it.

Same reason why tribal/celtic tattoos were so popular to non-indigenous/celtic people (in the 90s).

people are sheep (but JAMs reasons also apply - even the last one apparently)

that’s where epping is, right?

Nah, I think north is in the direction the sun sets. Is that Epping direction? Or, where is Epping; near Altona, right?

I’m on that loltatz website…

Errrrr lol?

My cover up done about 5 yrs ago.

epping is in the north direction

covering up what was in that tribal band thing in the lower half?? looks very tidy!

Can we see the before as well??

can anyone on here tattoo. i have an idea, that i’m convinced will have have me laughed out out of the shop by a professional tattooist.
