Got a link mate?

That finish in Mende when Cummings got Pinot and Bardet, that was a hard one to swallow. Must have been hard for them too. But damn well done to Steve, that was textbook worthy.

Van Gone Deren

Thanks Geoff. He surely knows what he is doing, and there is some glorious flow happening there. To be able to ride those roads and use the whole width would be a great privilege!

A real shame. I haven’t made my mind up about him yet. If he was to win, I would be happy, but I’m not so sure he has the heart. I guess he is still very young and needs the conditioning. Perhaps in two years or so he will be a force.

It’s on record that I was a huge critic of Sagan at the start of this season. His performances in Tour of California and Le Tour thus far have been super impressive. I’ve really enjoyed watching him slog it out, and despite the obvious point of him still not having won a stage my hat goes off to him for his relentless effort in breaks and the way he’s gotten over some of these bergs. The flow is definitely not hurting his image in my opinion. My girlfriend has even made comment on both Cancellara and Sagan having sweet flow. Chapeau, Sagan!

TC: will now be aiming to get some flow for summer descending

No sensations:

Straight away from the start, I kind of knew this wasn’t good and hopefully I could just hide and maybe ride into it for a few kilometres and start to feel better. But the sensations never came. It is hugely disappointing.

I’ve never really been a fan of Sagan. Too much showboating and sexist-bro-behaviour to feel okay about him. But he seems to have somewhat redeemed himself: he apparently has a steady girlfriend, cut out a lot of his antics, and is really getting down to battling it out for stage wins.

Been enjoying watching Sagan battle it out, getting in the break stage after stage. Feel sorry for him because no one wants to work with him at the end of the faster finishing stages. You can see the disappointment in his face when he misses out on yet another possible win, and yet the next day, he’s back out there giving his all.

taken from this article after Stage 16

when asked by a Chinese reporter after the stage why he was so strong, Sagan simply answered: “Because I have big balls.”

Top 3 together the whole way once TJ went out, good to see. Team steamroller tactics out, just solid riders.

In other news: Froome checks his stem is still there.

I like Sagan.

He is probably my fav rider after Bertie.

Funny how nobody asks whether sagan is doping…

I bought Alpecin.

c’mon…own up.

Nope, i prefer single origin ristretto.

Far out. I miss a single stage and so many things happen. Bardet delivered, and with so much style. Big kudos especially given the crazy pressure he’s got with the whole of France after him. Def my SJ of the day, because I was sad to see WTP leaving this morning.

TJ, I feel sorry for him because it must be terribly awful to abandon the tour after having done all that and being in a very good position. But I’ve always found him a bit too sure of himself to fully warm up to him and believe in him. Plus he can be a bit of a whinger sometimes (eg. last years pave stage).

Good to see Sagan getting a bit of FOA love… I was feeling a bit solitary. Yes he his a bit of a brodude but that’s part of the appeal. Hoping for no more sexist antics of course, but so far it seems like he’s grown up a bit.

Huh?

I’m surprised there’s not more love on here for Quintana.

I dig Quintana, and was hoping for him to win. He’s kinda done not much, hard to talk about doing not much.

Richie Porte is paying $101 to win tonight’s stage. I’ll take some of that action.

Here’s hoping he was just saving the legs last night, as opposed to being dropped. I know his best mate Froomey is keen for him to win a stage, hopefully Brailsford is on board too.

The last two stages have been pretty rad. Sky look unbeatable, but at least the others aren’t holding back. It has been attack after attack, and from a long way out too. Hopefully one can stick a little longer tonight and we see Froome under even more pressure.
