It’s funny i kind of dig the grey.
Thought about flipping one and getting a different use bike?
Where is this dodgy paint bit that warranted building a second frame??
Pretty sure its a mark in one of the chain stays
I thought it was more significant, something you might see in the photos.
well played sir, and anyone who isn’t jelly is a liar.
Different use bike, lol.
I will post pics of all my bikes one day. It’s still running at around the 18 mark which is to get to single digits in the next 12 months. I don’t have a TT bike, DH/dually or a SSCX (yet).
It’s something you can feel more than see as Darren put another run of weld over it.
Will take a pic with the macro lens & some decent lighting to show the detail.
Yeah but you have 18 bikes why not sell one and get another equally quality bike to replace somthing that is probably crappy.
Just a thought either way both are nice.
The crappy bikes and least ridden bikes are going.
And seriously, who is going to buy a second hand steel Baum. You get a custom because it’s custom.
If I didn’t want it I could have said no but the deal was too good to say no plus I had the groupset and wheelset.
Word from Ryan is that pics will be up tomorrow on Baum Flickr photostream.
Could be a delay picking up the new bike as the VW has a delaminated tyre.
Looks like four new tyres tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Well than it’s a win win,
Well except for the tyre$
Photos from Ryan at Baum
Tyres have been changed to Michelin Pro4 Service Course
i love deep carbon wheels as much as the next bloke, but theres something about thick/aero spoked wheels on that build thats just…perfect
noice! when are you going to grab it? I have a frame that needs to go to Ken Evans in Geelong to be bent back to shape, there’d be beer in it for you
^ May be able to help if stuck.
Great looking machine, larfinboy.
Many may say it’s cliche Baum but fuck that is hot.
Fucking love it.
It’s looking fabulous Ben
Again, PHWOAR.
Thanks all, this has been a long time coming.
It is a cliche Baum but that’s what I wanted, a Baum that looks like a Baum. I had toned down the paint scheme a little.
Can always repaint it down the track.
It also made it super easy for the blue bike as I wanted something that looked much more traditional.
I’m heading out of rAdelaide on Tuesday morning, staying at Ballarat overnight and will be at Baum Wednesday morning.
Probably go for a quick spin then head up to Melbs for a couple of days.
Have tyres and some King cages to collect for the blue bike from Commuter.
Andy is keen to take some outside pics of this machine.
Really love the grey one, congrats!
The grey/blue/green for my money, I just don’t like the font on the blue boy, you bringing either to octokeg weekend?
