the Geelong project

They’re called chopsticks.

the village idiots chime in hey…?

Enve forks seems to suit better.
My current bike has J stays & would look ok with the 3T fork.

what are those bars??? WANT.

hahahahha

Nitto M186 STI

Oh wow. Amazing.

nawwwww

Have had a change of heart with the alternate wheelset for this build.
Defs want HED rims for machined brake surface so have ordered a set of 32H hubs.

What hubs

More of the same, Campy.

Yeah, can’t say enough good things about them. Given my Roadie is purple the green actually doesn’t look too bad, but would probably prefer a black set if they came in plain black.

Hubs arrived last week. Campy claim 116g front and 231g rear.
So similar combined weight as the WI hubs - 97g front 252g rear.

These are off to Shifter Bikes today. Will be in Melbourne at the end of the month
to collect the built wheels then off to Baum for a fitting the following day.

So Shifter Dan has been insanely busy & hadn’t check his PO box.
My bad for not shipping to the shop so no wheels to be collected yesterday :frowning:

The workshop tour and fitting session this morning at Baum was excellent.
Decision on model has been made, Ristretto with stainless, brushed rear triangle,
Enve 2.0 fork, to accommodate a 25C tyre, 3T Stealth Ergo Nova bars & 3T post (not sure which).

Will post some pics once I get back home.

something old mate bike tart’s couldn’t do apparently.

Surely the ‘standard’ road chainstay length which is usually 405mm can easily do a 25c?

I’ve been told that 10 and 11 speed groups don’t function as well on chain stays with a length of less than 410mm. #truestory

CS length is not the only factor in tyre swallowage. CS thickness and manipulation, CS/SS bridge placement, ST size/angle…

Apparently the 3T Funda Pro/Team forks don’t allow a 25C tyre.
Chain stays will be 415mm.

Huuuggge! That’s beardo territory, good work
