Skateboard > fixed > vintage road > fixed > CX > #racklyf > CX > MTB

Agreed. Used to be a regular visitor, now hardly ever find myself there.
I don’t really notice the layouts because i use the rss function on both FYXO and Radavist. I do like the the many contributors though.
i use the rss into feedly and greader, haven’t been getting a lot of the flash galleries from prolly for a long time, and i unsubscribed from fyxo when he limited the amount of the post displayed in rss and made me click through to the website for the rest,
Hey guys, yes, the Radishist heard you from all the way down under.
Sorry some of you preferred the old site. We’re working on the layout currently - mostly the visual hierarchy. I wanted a format where “news / Radar” content could steadily update - on the left column - without pushing the “galleries / Reportage” content off the page.
Re: Ads, I cut over half of them. This site has a lot of overhead and I’m paying people now, better than any cycling magazine would.
If any of you have gone out and tried something on your own, you’ll know it wasn’t an easy decision. Part of what I do is supply cycling content, to the world, for free and my ultimate goal is to have more people working full time towards this goal. That’s paying people a legitimate wage, so they too can travel to cover events, ride in different cities and help grow the content.
For some reason, a lot of you guys don’t like me. At all. I’ve never done anything to you, so I don’t understand this logic, but the world is a strange place, so I don’t let it bother me.
bonus point: my first bike I ever bought in my adult life was a Fisher MTB - I raced club MTB in college - then I bought a road bike - check out any interview I’ve ever done - I point that out
If you go to the “about” section, you’ll find a link to this post where I explain what the site is, where the meat pies went and what the Radavist means.
The Radavist? Woah Woah Woah… The What? | The Radavist
It’s an unoriginal world out there and It’s not easy coming up with a name or branding to coincide, but just know this has been in the works for over two years.
For those who don’t want to click the link (which gives me all your passwords, credit card numbers and bank accounts):
“Atavism is a term, first introduced to me by Seth Rosko, four years ago. While the actual definition delves into the human condition, social behaviors and ‘throwback’ phenotypes, it’s the inherent need for all living creatures to play. It’s why dolphins will surf shorebreak, why a sea otter will slide down a rock and why a dog needs to play to be happy and healthy.
In a lot of ways, atavism is what fueled the early days of PiNP. It’s why we began bunny hopping track bikes, or riding cross bikes on MTB trails. It’s why we still do these things.”
Like I said, it’s new. There are bugs, but I’m working on it.
and yes, it actually goes D&D>Nintendo>Super Nintendo>Nintendo 64>Game Cube>fixie>motorcycle
see you ₪₪₪₪s in June.
Let’s not bring Bill Murray into this.
The beardocolypse approaches.
Really? I doubt this is the case at all. A good number of us have check your site regularly, subscribe to your RSS and follow you on the gram. I do.
I think the new approach is good, more people equals more voices and makes it more manageable for you. I’m also glad to hear that you’re paying people properly. No, I like the new site, as you say the layout still need some work - its easier to follow via RSS.
… Sure I tore you another one when you went out and bought the IF rigid 29er. But you went out and bought a Tallboy which affirmed to me that you were serious about riding as well as just bikes and builders. I’m glad that there’s a site like Prolly or now Radishivist that covers the various genres of riding I am interested and is not primarily race focused.
Was super stoked when I saw a pic on PiNP of Barnie getting rad at Smith’s. Being selfish I thought it a nice development in your coverage. Drop me a line if you find yourself over in NZ, I can’t shred like B but can put you in touch with a number of folks who can.

It’s called “taking the piss”.
This.
It’s an Australian display of affection.
+1.
