Thread dredge for being back on the tools at the weekend for some custom step down ferrules. Made another 3 after these. Varying diameter hole brake and gear outer with 2mm right through.
Edit: for those new readers, this thread morphed from a Kumo cycles build thread into an everyone thread into me because I was the only one making anything.
Sadly, I sold my lathe many years back. I keep thinking about getting a desktop one. I do, at least, have a 3D printer. Piston retraction wedges and tyre levers (damn those TLR tyre fits!) are my usual bike bits. Along with cyclocross tyre width gauges and shifter alignment gauges for the commissaires.
I’m making these on an older Hafco which has a capacity of Ø300 x 750 or so. Total overkill, but it’s what is there. I should make them on my little Toyo ML-1 but it’s not as readily accessible and the space isn’t as user-friendly as the big boy.
