Im thinking I might get all Miche stuff, cranks, hubs (put on the H+Son rims) and all the lashings for the poopdale. Easton urrything else. Just make another swwaaaiiight fixxay.
Dont think I need the FSA cranks Ill find them tonight…the old BB is rubbish and the cap on one side has split so I wouldnt even waste it on a broke dick dog
Shit just chill son! I CBF carrying it actually…can I drop off to yours tomorrow? I gotta pick up the Easton x Tattoo bike tomorrow off me mate in West Perth can drop over to yours on the way through.
Oh chyeah I got some Cabbie (yellow) Fixie Pops for the SS in preparation of this saturdays Make Haste! Alleycat.
Chainring and bolts turned up, installed. 46/30, wuss double.
Though as the outer ring was designed to go on the outer of the spider the chainring bolt holes are not countersunk on the inner face meaning the bolts protrude a little, hopefully won’t rub the chain.
unpacked my avanti hardtail, and dusted it off, going to convert to single speed and run ridged forks, can any one recommend a good all round gearing combo?? i was think 32/17 combo
cheers, i might give that a go… has any one ever tried just having the single cog on the rear with a pully wheel tensioner and still using it as a 3 speed with the 3 different size chain rings? just a though
Discovered my chainring or crank spider is slightly bent, really noticeable with a 9spd chain on 10spd fr. derailleur, needed to constantly trim the f derailleur.
Don’t really have any appropriate tools to fix it, so shimmed out the chainring in the spot it wobbles out with slivers of washers, works ok.
Did a 20 km ride on the new frame today, rolls nice, only had to adjust the seat hight after I got the feel of it, the 44/17 gearing ratio is nice too, not as tough on the knees as 44/15 I previously had
Picked this up for a bargain today. The seatpost is stuck in the seat tube, and the bolt to change the seat is stripped. Any suggesrions on how to fix it?
^Do this. Failing that, Ewen Gellie of Gellie Customs has this tool/machine that reoves stuck seatposts. It’s a very time-consuming process and thus is quite expensive. If the WD40 doesn’t work…get a new bike.
this and or drilled out stripped bold, find something that is similar size to saddle rails that has some leverage, clamp it down, i’ve used a bar that slides into a spark plug spanner and just shim shim shimmy that thing out!!!
