What I love most is that the cleats don’t scrape on the ground when I walk like SPD ones do.
for some reason ive always preferred clamping ‘downwards’, just feels ‘safer’ in my head, dont ask me why!
Its worse in my mind, seems more likely that something will to get in behind it (albeit very very unlikely), I like just behind the fork blade, clamping up.

The way I do it… Front QR, pointing up, in line or just behind the fork leg. Back QR, pointing up towards the front in the space between the chain and seat stays.

correct positioning is correct.
also accepted is full aero, both horizontal and facing the rear.
Also, re-cabled the brakes and rear derailleur on the CX bike and put the rear Tektro CR720 cantis on with new Kool Stop pads. So far the brakes feel like they will stop me as opposed to the Frogglegs which might slow me down. I’ve been running the front Tektro’s for the last week and have been pretty happy with the result. #blakeywasright

Yeah, these ones were priced right, probably coz scored to the shithouse. Bench grinder took good care of that.
Laced three wheels. Razor to Athena front 2x with Pillar TB, Sanshin to Ukai 27 x 1.1/4 with 3x gal newbies front and rear. Fingers are a bit sore today…

very nice, id go black cloth, leather might look a bit chunky plus cloth ages nicely.
