My worst crash was going over a car on Sydney Rd, but that was in an alleycat so I was riding like a douche.
Punt Rd is the worst, the traffic, the people and the hill.

Some people’s “Worst Roads” are not such a big issue for other riders, I think the more time I spend riding a particular road the more comfortable I get. I find Sydney road fine and I ride up and down it 3-4 times a day.
One I do find tricky sometimes is the down hill when royal pde turns into Elizabeth st after the crazy roundabout. Having to signal my self through three lanes of traffic in peak hour while descending can be a bit gnarly sometimes.

That roundabout and part of Eliz St is my life- I live on Royal Parade (6 lanes to cross in peak hour <3) so ride that all the time but am kind of used to it now
I also work off Chapel St, went to Uni on Swanston, have lived on High St, off Sydney Rd/Lygon and in Seddon- which meant taking Footscray Rd to city, so I feel like I’ve been forced onto all these shitty stretches and am now fine with them- except Footscray Rd which never ceases to suck

living in the middle of the city is stinking for the cycle, no mental warm up before city madness,waking up and popping down the road for some milk is hell,russell st between collins up until it becomes lygon is pretty shocking,especially around little bourke,i blame the exford hotel bottle shop.
Little Bourke deserves a mention for pedestrian behaviour, I’ve never seen anyone look before crossing,makes for a good game of sneaky shoulder/bag tap
Sydney road has to take the honours for the worst street, regardless if its driving or riding or even commuting, so many full sik cars burning around.
