Mikeās going to be going past my old house/district soon. I can sort of picture exactly where he is right now on the road out to Helensville. Thereās really yummy fresh strawberry ice cream for him tomorrow. Canāt believe the leaders are so far out already.

Have yet to work out how to just get the people I want to look at to show, and not the whole field.

For an individual - click on their marker and it will open a window. Click āRider Profileā then āShow only this Riderā. Then search for someone else and click their star to make it gold. I currently have used this to view a couple of FoA riders.
So the lead little group are only an hour or so from the massive waterslide. Looking forward to the pics.

i like clicking on āshow historyā in the rider profile, then it shows where the spot has trackedā¦ i guess they log at a constant interval, so you can see speed in how far the log points are apart.

Whanganui River
There are two main companies operating on the river, and they offer jet boat trips and hire Canadian Canoes (which hold bikes fine). Contact details are on the web and in Classic NZ Cycle Trails. Take cash if you want fast service.
Sneaky jetboat trip no big deal.
Watched Matty come down to the river and then watched his tracker just continue along the river, no stopping. Weird. Couldnāt have loaded onto a boat that quick as the tracker didnāt stop moving and then the tracker wasnāt moving fast enough for a jet boat.
Trackers update periodically, and then the map program just estimates where they are based on their previous pings.
Got it working now. Says I was at the ferry all day until I reset it just beforeā¦

According to the gram Adam has stopped for the night in Dargaville and is aiming to get on the first ferry from Pouto Point in the moring, 68kms away.

I went out and rode a section of the Waikato River trails yesterday, trying to track down Mike. I missed him by about an hour I guess. Damn. Caught up with a whole bunch of riders. Most seemed in good spirits. A couple were pretty sun burnt. I guess theyāve all got to be pretty stoked with the run of weather theyāve been having, even if it is bloody hot on the tar seal.
