Still waiting on a date from DGV. They’ve had nationals on all month so I think they’re pretty busy.
Just got a reply back from DGV staff. 20th of March is looking good so far, they’re going to confirm later in the week. I need to give them an approx idea of numbers so I’ll start compiling a list.
in like errol
Yes, Lois and myself would like to do it.
Lo would be looking at hiring a ~52cm bike for the day if that is relevant.

In!
Well done for putting this together Nath. I’ll let you know tomorrow.
Ok, 20th March is CONFIRMED.
There is a limit of 20 riders (2 groups of 10) for the coaching session. Once the coaching session is done, the rest can get involved and do some social laps afterwards.
For those wanting to hire bikes, I will need your heights and/or bike size requirements asap.
im in, will have my new wheels rolling by then too. havent been riding properly for while, so looking forward to this.
thanks for setting it up!
Can you please put me down for the coaching session, and for bike hire.
Thanks,
Oldbikerider
Updated first post.
Barrie cant hang around after the coaching sessions, so social laps for the experienced guys is off the cards unfortunately.
I think we will reach our 20 person limit, so please, if you aren’t doing the actual coaching session (because your expeirenced, or just cant make it) please dont select “Attending” on the FB group. Change it to “Maybe Attending” if your experienced and just want to come watch (Rhys, Alex, Brad etc) or if your not sure that you can make it.
Preference will be given to those who select “Attending” in the instance that we have too many people turn up.
If we over-subscribe and there’s still more interest, I’ll organize another one soon.
Just a reminder, this event is this sunday at 1pm.
If anyone needs a lift and can get to kirribilli, your welcome to come out with me.
It won’t be a problem for most of you on here, but if you have new tyres it would be a good idea to get out and rough them up a bit on the road before riding the track. It may get a little slippery on the bank otherwise.
Nathan have all the spots filled up or has anyone dropped out? Also noob question - would a cell mallet 2 with drops, spds and brakes removed be cool if I got into one of the sessions?
The coach has just said the bicks must be propper track bikes, with track dropouts, drop bars, no brakes etc.
Whatever pedal system you want to run is fine.
BTW Its today kids!!
Good times today folks. Thanks again to Nath for organazising it. Top bloody effort.
Yep, thanks Nathan, it was a great introduction to the track. I’m keen for more.
Ditto. Great way to spend the afternoon. Top job Nathan.
Thanks Nathan! Today was awesome. Had the best time. Except for the bit where I nearly stacked it on the bend.
Actually, that was probably the best part.
