got mine last novemeber. since purchase has been the only shoe ridden in since. only just waering a hole in them now. but i did just get a pair of these…
ive been thinking about those for a while - probably havent been wearing them long enough but how have they held up? the leather toe cab thing on the sole looks a bit shoddy and the white looks like it would get really dirty riding. please tell me otherwise so i can go and buy them
ok but where in melb can you actually see/buy the vans fixies. i just want to see and feel them so i can compare them to my other vans. i went into platypus and when i asked the chick and the dude (heatseaker?) just looked at each otehr and went  but then he went for a look out back and found nothing
Bought some a couple weeks ago from ‘The Lab’ on Brunswick st they may also have them at Prime which is on little collins and opposite the lab. Comes with a vans cycling cap as well.
I think $60 was fair seeing they started life at $170! They are of better quality than other Authentics. The have a more sturdy sole have reflective laces and have the matching saddle bag.
I got them at a place called Raised by Wolves and were the last pair.
On another note you can get 2 pairs of Authentics at Paul’s Warehouse on George st Sydney for $90. That’s right 2 for $90!
adidas are to release a sneaker for all you ‘fixed gear’ riders, designing a new Samba colorway. Slimming down the midsole slightly and moulding the entire upper for speed, these wheel turners come in two restrained colours complemented by an oversize tongue tag declaring ‘Slam the hammer down!’ alongside logos of mechanical gears. There is no word on a fixed released date, so keep checking here for more news!
