Can you be an occasional ultramarathon runner?

I’d say it’s the only way to be.

only on a vegan diet
Thanks for all the tips! Garlic bread is the food of champions.
hey mate, any more stabs at veganism, and you’re looking at your posts being deleted/banned.
EDIT: deleted as my post was not particularly relevant to thread and I dont want to derail it… carry on.
EDIT: Yup lets just delete it. Its off-topic.
Exactly, I can understand Honey, but what I heard sounded kinda crazed and silly… if the next sentence that came from that persons mouth was ‘I’m a level 7 vegan, I don’t eat anything that casts a shadow’ I would not have been suprised.
Yeah, I deleted that because I didn’t want to take this thread off topic
obviously i’m Mr Glass Half Full today, because i thought that was a complement.
hey maybe it was! in which case i retract my overly aggressive interwebz threat.
Just FYI (and because the guy’s a deadset legend) Scott Jurek is probably the greatest ultramarathon runner of his time (i.e. now) and says he couldn’t do it without a vegan diet. Here’s some nutrition info from his blog :
Matt Ruscigno’s blog is also a good read, he’s a vegan registered dietician currently doing a video interview series (Day in the life) with a bunch of vegan athletes (including an ultrarunner & a CX racer). Plus he also advocates “Making Rad Decisions”, and who can’t get behind that?
not dogs in helgas bread, even as a non vegan those things are truly the food of the gods…

Now you can drink Guinness…well, by the end of 2016:http://www.beerandbrewer.com/guinness-is-going-vegan/
