I’m more than happy to store them for you … I’ll even come pick them up.

More cool gear shots …

Still on the hunt… Gotta get some more monies together first.

Looking to keep it an all english set up.

Haven’t seen much English coolness for reasonable money’s here in Oz at current. Might be worth getting a whatever Amp to get rolling with till you find something that you really wish for. Did see this in NZ but no idea about the specs …

Arcam Alpha Audiophile Amplifier For Sale

I was really hoping to land these Tannoy’s that were local to me but I pulled one of my snipe bid’s when I saw some dodgy looking bidding close to the end. Seems like the top bidders were legit though and there’s no saying whether the high bid was $460 or $800. Little bit bummed, would have loved a set of classic Tannoy’s.

For the Melb peep’s after some very classic speakers, these are beauties.

And Radelaidian’s might be digging these Swedish boxes.

You scoring the Roger’s has made me want classic big speakers again. Especially as I have a Marantz amp that I’d rather use than sell, sitting gathering dust.

Going to check out a NAD amp, but thats nothing to exciting. It is currently owned by the local brisbane vintage hifi tech dude. In other news, just found out my Nonna through out my uncles Techics X Kenwood system in WA. It was top of the range from 1985. Gutted and can’t believe i completely forgot about it, i guess that what you get when you haven’t been there to visit for over a decade.

Maybe look at it from an audio karmic perspective: perhaps if you had your uncles Technics/Kenwood gear you may not have scored the Rogers/Rega. I know which I’d rather …

Early NAD’s have been getting pricey lately. This one looks like a bargain …

I scored at the Salvo’s today … amongst the Kamahl, Max Bygraves I found these 2 gems. $4 for the 2 records, both in good condition. Wooohoooo !!

For a good budget amp keep a look out for a Pioneer A400. I’ve had both the NAD 3020 and the A400 and lean towards the latter. No frills, incredible bang for buck and I think just that little bit nicer build.

Dang! Burning Spear, never seen him in a Salvos bin.

I’ve got 3 or 4 of his records back home, and saw him live with Toots Hibbert ages ago in Wellington, was awesome.

… maybe also check out this, double the power, same sound and it comes with a free tuner (radio is cool)

Attn Brisvegas: these might be worth having a look at - not sure what they are but if they sound half good I’d go for them

Assuming you guys have seen this movie?

Burning spear does an acapella version of jah no dead, most of the actors are musicians.

I’ve got the soundtrack (on vinyl) at home somewhere.

^ so gooooood!

I have a 1981 Technics SL-D303 turntable for sale. Same as this:

It is in good condition, a few scuffs on the dust cover, plays records nicely. It has a UK plug but I have been using it with an adaptor and it has not missed a beat.

$50 before it goes onthe 'bay.

did you just get one of these Spirito? They look super cool! worth it?

Yes, a later one (mid 70’s) but I had to return it as one channel was dead/crackly and it had a constant hum.
Shame as I was thinking about getting a specific turntable and B&& speakers to match. It was an amp, FM tuner and tape deck - Beocenter 1600.

They are really cool but as with any old gear buy something that somebody has already spent time and $'s on refurbing.

Those focal speakers are really nice, We used to all rock them in our cars.
