WA Ride For Sick Kids - my call to FOA for fundraising support.

Hi All,

My call out to the #FOAmafia for support.

Later this month I am riding with a group of McDonald’s Licensees, Corporate Staff and Associates through the beautiful south west of WA in a bid to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Perth Capital Campaign.

A little info:

Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides a home away from home to regional families who require accommodation and support while their child is receiving treatment at the current Princess Margaret Hospital for a serious or life-threatening illness.

Since 1990 RMH has been home to more than 3000 families, and the demand is increasing steadily. Currently the existing house is full every night, and staff already had to turn away close to 45 families in June. Thus, RMH is currently undertaking a $20million capital fundraising campaign to build a new House, and asks for support from philanthropic individuals, trusts and foundations, corporations and government in an endeavour to raise the funds required.

The WA Ride for Sick Kids is being organised by a Committee of McDonald’s licensees and corporate employees who would like to contribute to the RMH capital campaign. 2012 is the inaugural ride in WA, and covers roughly 350 km stretched over 4 days through some of WA’s most stunning regions.
We are very grateful for your support, and look forward to conquering the road on two wheels with you in November.

Thank you very much,
WA RSFK Committee

Regardless of whether you want to sock it to the man, and hate evil global corporations, or you think the food is crap, I have seen the work RMH do first hand in both NSW (Westmead Childfrens) and WA (Princess Margaret) and it is a great thing for regional families with seriously ill children to have.

If you can spare a couple of dollars, I’d love for you to donate on my fundraising page.

100% of every cent raised will be passed on to RMH Perth to assist with their goal of building a new house.

The link to my Everyday Hero fundraising page is: Everyday Hero Australia: WA Ride for Sick Kids

And anything donated over $2 is tax deductible.

Thanks in advance. I know there are some good hearts out there.
