What are other good potentially good wheels on market?

I think A23’s are the new old deep Vs, wide stance for the win.

Yeah clincher. No point having a bike and not riding it.

I like the look of some of these wheels for sure. am also looking for a front wheel, and have searched the forum for advice etc.
Esp for a noob who really hasnt a clue what he is looking for.

Anyone used this web site and can give any good feed back, with postage? reliability etc.

thanks

interested to hear where you bought these from. a long time ago i was looking for ambrosio rims and couldn’t find them anywhere.

dads old road bike (colnago asso) which a few days ago moved in to my possession, has Ambrosio Evoloution wheels. He said they came stock with the bike, bought it from some obscure shop in the eastern suburbs 10 years ago, which has now shut down. he cant remember the name of it though hahaa.

Ha! No wonder you’re parting out the bianchi…

Dylan I said it like a month ago in fixie shit. free colnago!!! and Im parting out the bianchi for other reasons. I got open pro/superbe pro wheels. thats why your getting my spoke.

Hey guys how is this? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=140579499786&index=7&nav=SEARCH&nid=08035902794

He said he will sell for $100 for the set. Only problem is, I might have to change the hub…or could I Just put a cog and locking on the other side I can’t see clear on the pics.

nope, but you’re getting warmer

Have you tried velorama.fr he has a few.

So should I just forget about these wheel sets. Cz they are mad cheap

yes. they’re road wheels. you will have to change the hub. unless you know how to do that, which I doubt, getting that done is going to cost nearly as much as the set of wheels.

yeh that’s true.

So you want a B43 style rim? How much you got to spend?
I’ve got a set of HPLUSSON EERO to Phii Wood hubs all black that I’d sell for $650 for the pair, keen?

if i had the money to spend on phil woods i would cz i know they are good wheels. but only looking for a rear wheel as i dont need a set. maybe next time though :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a pair of Pro-lite “Gavia” carbon clinchers for a time, they were nothin’ but trouble. Wouldn’t hold true and their home-brand bladed spokes kept breaking. It turned out that ex-factory they weren’t laced to their own spec and when I sought help from pro-lite they were worse than unhelpful. YMMV.

I have a pair of 32H Evolutions in the shed, bought for a project that didn’t happen. But they’re blue.

to the OP though - you’d probably be better served by getting a bit of scratch together for a formula/deep V or formula/fusion type combo. decent quality sealed hubs for street, bombproof rims, all good.

DOUBLE SPOKs or GTFO!

Good wheels…

The only time I ever pay any attention to anything in fixie shit is when Geodude’s being hilarious or when ev steezy needs some hardcore compliments cos he’s always sad.
