ugh, thats gotta Drain You.

Tomboy on smith st in fitz/coll is good for a solid no frills breakfast. Or Martha Rays and Slowpoke on the gertrude end of bruns st if you want to pay a bit more. thought i’d offer up some fitzroy options, seems to be too much territorial pissing with all these brunswick places

Too grungy for ya?

If you’re vego, then this post won’t be much use, but here goes:

Tomboy is okay, great bacon and egg muffin, Industry beans is nice if you wanna feel all Fitzroy (like a small batch coffee equivalent of section eight) but the bacon they use is pretty awesome. Martha Rays do excellent sangas and I reckon their Reuben is one of the best in Melbs.
Alimentari on Brunswick street is nice, although I tend to go there for lunch (meatball wrap is boss)more than brekkie. Haven’t been in a while but Bell Jar on smith street is good and pretty low key. I dunno if it’s any good but my mate just re-opened the old marmalade soul in Clifton Hill and is keen to make it unpretentious, delicious, and bike friendly… could be worth a look. Don’t go to Bluebird, it’s way overhyped.
