Man that was well wicked. Big ups to the organisers, racers, and to Scott, Marty and Geordie for supplying beer, noise and profanity during the race. Picked up 2nd in the open category for my efforts which was a great way to cap an already fantastic, and cheap event. Didn’t get to take any photos so post here if anyone has good ones.

Cracker of a day, my throat is still sore. Thanks to all those who popped it up for us, made all the yelling and carrying on even more worth it. Good racing, sunny skies and a few beers, what more could you ask for.
So when is the event at Muzz? Gonna have to order some tyres…

The Balmoral Mudsters of the Universe Cyclocross race is on the 1st of September, rego from 11.
Marty - I have a spare set of Schwalbe CX Pros if you just want to borrow some tyres.
That would be awesome. Might try and get the bike sorted this week so i can take it for a few laps out at Gap Ck. I’ll shoot you a PM.
I do have to say that the FOA cheer-squad on the hill did a great job of making the back half of the course that bit more bearable.

After having such a good time out at the QLD Cyclocross Championships on the weekend, I thought now would be good a time as any to keep the cross momentum going. A few people weren’t even aware that there is another local cyclocross race this year and it’s on in 2 weeks time.
Saturday 1st September 2012
Registration from 11am. Racing from 12pm
Presented by Balmoral Cycling Club
Murarrie Recreation Ground
Juniors $6, Adults $12
12pm: Juniors, U9-13 15mins + 1 lap, U15-17 30mins + 1 lap
1pm: Open (any bike with brakes) 30min + 1 lap
2pm: B Grade Cyclocross 30min + 1 lap
3pm: A Grade Cyclocross 50min + 1 lap
Entries will be taken on the day, please register at least 30mins before your start.
We are still chasing a few helpers with setup, entry/licensing, marshaling & pack down. If you would like to see Cyclocross develop and grow in the Brisbane area please PM me and get involved (you won’t even miss your race).
