first fixie

I would get an AVENTON or a Kilo TT but they don’t ship to AUST :frowning:

I’d recommend a steel frame, they ride a little smoother, but either of the Fuji’s should be ok.

Truth. I’ve had two (got them cheap) and they’re terrible.

I see there’s a few bianchi ,felt and malvern star around on bike exchange… how do they rate?

Just came across this … carbon fibre… too good to be true?

I’d buy my Affinity track bike on gumtree
The carbon wheels cost me over $600 alone

if u don’t buy Danye’s bike (above) will call cops on you.

I can’t really… im a 55cm

also is STATE Bike Co worthy? Coz im seriously considering the Fuji Comp or the Feather.

State got deals on atm

Fuji Feather or older Fuji Track Pros etc.

Kona Paddywagon/All City/Bianchi/Apollo track/surly steamroller etc.

but off the shelf singlespeeds/fixies are all usually pretty average until you get to the Fuji Feather ~$800 in my experience.

if you’ve got time, set up saved searches for the above on ebay & gumtree & wait for a pre-built second hand option for around the $600-$800 mark.

or just get something you like the look of & accept you’ll probs have/want to replace/upgrade bits as you go.

this one looks pretty good.

State Simpson 4130 Core Line

ends up to be $635 AUS dollar

What are you looking to get out of this thread? Confirmation of what you already want? Or actual advice? As already mentioned, most of the bikes you have linked are bog average. That said, if you like the look if it, just buy it. The advice on this forum will be, probably, to take your time and find a good second hand bike.

sorry alright yeh… ill go with my instinct … thanks for help fellas

Rip fixies, never forget.

I’m also a 55cm that’s why it has a 140mm stem, it looks pro AF and long stems save lives and get you laid.
If u decide it’s to pro/rad for you sell the frame and buy another.

Finally, a rational explanation why I haven’t been able to get a root since my divorce.

3T 140 job done, works for any gender any non binary and is 100%LGBQ certified.
This actually may be a 130? Anyhow same applies.

bud, join the Perth Fixed Gear Track Parts market facebook group. Plenty of decent gear on there.
