gosh, there is an awful lot of hate for these guys. me, i say good luck, the same as if anyone i know was gonna be doing it.
its a bloody long ride, and i hope they make it.
that said, it is kinda weird that they wouldn’t do a 30km social ride 2 days beforehand. the sunday rides may be hectic and dangerous, but they’re not known for pushing the levels of endurance…
Yeah, the reason I posted it on here is because I thought people would be interested, but as you said, there’s a lot of hate.
Oh well.
Good luck to them, and I’d like to see the video when it’s done. Anything that is promoting fixed gears / riding in Australia can only be positive in my book.
They came on the Sunday ride and we changed the ride plans so the international guests could see the city, so we rode over the bridge and showed them Luna Park. Good on them for riding to Melbourne, it’s gnarly.
soooo, anyone know if this happened? i rolled past just before 7 and there was no sign of any other bicycles or indeed anyone except joggers.
Carlin? did you see anyone?
they’re on holiday, hence taking it easy and not cranking out 200kms per day. if i was in europe on holiday, i’d be looking around, taking it easy and not trying to do everything better then the locals.
