And Stay at the curry house. sounds weird but is an awesome little bar/japanese curry restaurant. They have three very large, very cheap, very traditional rooms that you can rent upstairs
We stayed in the backpackers, which was more like a ryokan (traditional house) than the one we stayed at in Kyoto.
Was very cheap, and really quite good!
Would also recommend going to the island in winter (and Japan in general). This island is a bit of a hotspot in summer.
i don’t know anything about that mark newson geezer but the speedboat on his website looks pretty cool and makes me want to live in miami with a white suit and a fat gold chain. pimpin’.
