Does she have a tattoo?

lilly allen > muse

Tattoos are so mainstream, havent you seen Guy Sebastian’s sleeve?

Yeah no idea how parlez got in there, its an ok party song but not worth 2nd spot.
Hilltops song is rubbish, mumford and fags is boring, lily is a nova tart, though Youv got the love would have been in there, broken leg aint that good… + Jmag fucked up with the winner.

Had a look at the top 5s from the past few years and pretty much what ever gets played on Nova gets the top spot. Most these songs are really played a great deal on the Js, its just the email, rat race desk jockeys voting cause they have nothing else better to do with their pathetic lives.
Would be good if they do it oldschool and you post in your votes or how ever they used to do it, would sift all the muppets out.

My point exactly…

So who did you vote for?

I think tripleJ has moved away from the alternative station it used to be. I’d rather listen to FBI for local stuff anyway.

Didn’t even listen this year it’s gone downhill heaps IMO

i voted for…

Phoenix - 190-1
Friendly Fires - Skeleton Boy
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads will roll
Passion Pit - The Reeling
The Whitest Boy Alive - 1517
The Midnight Juggernauts - This new technology
Metric - Help I’m Alive
Art Vs Science - Hollywood
Phoenix - Lisztomania
Julian Casablancas - Out of the blue

101 - Eddy Current Suppression Ring - Anxie

for everyone grizzling that JJJ is “too commercial” (it ain’t, just the music is balls…) please cast your eyes over these entries from 1993 - the first year it ran in its current format

7 Lemon U2
18 Go West Pet Shop Boys
24 What’s Up? 4 Non Blondes
28 Are You Gonna Go My Way Lenny Kravitz
29 All That She Wants Ace of Base
29 Constant Craving k.d. lang
35 Shoop Salt-N-Pepa
55 Alive and Brilliant Deborah Conway
56 Can You Forgive Her? Pet Shop Boys
68 Mr Vain C.ulture Beat
73 Mr. Wendal Arrested Development
78 Deep East 17
99 Ebeneezer Goode The Shamen

and that was at the height of the “alternative” thingy that went on in the 90s.

if anything, they are far LESS commercial these days, rather the masses came to them.

i genuinely don’t like about 95% of what i hear on there…regardless of whether its ‘alternative’ or not.

it’s just shit.

in conversation yesterday some said “mumford and sons are the new whitlams”

i shuddered at the frightening reality of that statement…

LOLZ

totally.

I voted for:

Astronomy Class - Where You At?
Boy & Bear - Mexican Mavis
Jonathan Boulet - A Community Service Announcement (my favorite song of 2009)
Tame Impala - Sundown Syndrome
Temper Trap, The - Science Of Fear
Kasabian - Fire
Kasabian - Underdog
Metric - Help I’m Alive
Passion Pit - Sleepyhead
Royksopp - Happy Up Here

I thought it was an ok countdown. Certainly better than last years Hottest “MGMT and Kings of Leon” countdown.

i wonder if the singer from mumford and sons will start murdering everyone close to him as well?

Hate Mumford and sons but I guess could’ve been worse.

My votes:
Kasabian - Fire
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home
Illy - Pictures
Kid Cudi - Pursuit Of Happiness
Passion Pit - Sleepyhead
Metric - Help I’m Alive
Mos Def - Auditorium
Phoenix - Lisztomania (Favourite)
Sia - Buttons {CSS Remix}
Jonathan Boulet - Community Service Announcement

+1

that is hands down the shittest song of 2009

 I still liked it. Do you like any of Ozi Batla or Sir Robbo’s other stuff?
