It is winter, I'm sick of wet feet. Which shoe covers?

wish blundstones were spd compatible. Speedplay even better.

hehe

Got a couple of newspapers on the desk for that exact reason.

So no one has any specific shoe covers (brand x, model y) that work quite well, just other options that aren’t quite the question I asked??! hah

I could tell you what has worked for me, but both have been discontinued, so…

I could tell you what brand cling wrap and newspaper I use…

not a product recommendation per se, but i am a big fan of using the hand dryers (see what i did there) in the changerooms/toilets to finish off the drying process at the end of the day. also helps if the newspaper is changed during the day.

i also wear different socks on the days i know its rainy and then on the way home just use my normal work socks, so at least im putting dry socks on (and its only until i get home).

The dry socks / wet shoes combo is quite a sensation too

Thanks Nik, we have a similar routine on those wet days with the sock changeover.

I will continue my newspaper subscription.

Pair of thin sealskinz socks, leave shoes at work, take fresh socks for work day. Dry sealskinz socks during the day

Drying cyclists’ shoes is the only thing keeping them in business

What do I do if my laptop doesn’t fit in my shoes?

Get bigger feet.

Velotoze

  • aero
  • very dry
  • relatively cheap
  • take an age and good technique to get on
  • can/will break after a good number of uses
  • your feet will eventually get damp if you use them all day when the water seeps in from your socks or you sweat so much.

DZR shoes do a waterproof casual SPD shoe/hightop - not tried it but keen for next winter.

Yeah but who would wear them?

The more I see that picture, the more sensible it seems.

don’t go down that path Jono.

Yeah you might get er, dry…
