customers that constantly ask “are you sure that is the best price you can do”
that one line, coupled with smarmy body language and the whole we are best mates tactics is true asshole material
I took something back to bunnings the other day. I bought a top of the line Ryobi leaf blower thing and after 1.5 years of having it (used no more than 5 times might I add) it shat itself… warranty was for 24 months. I got myself a new one which will probably shit itself in another 1.5 years.
Just like salesman do? Particularly car dealerships etc? This one goes both ways.
your loss.
bet you did read it though.
Page 26 of the arsehole thread, and this arsehole still can’t spell arsehole.
Arseholes who invoke American spellings, even though they’re clearly incorrect.
- leave the bathmat they just saturated on the floor so the only person who ever hangs it up in the house gets to stand in their dregs
- doesn’t replace the toilet roll. this includes getting another roll out but not actually putting it on the dispenser.
/thread
people who put the toilet roll in the wrong way.
Assholes who nitpick over national variations of the English language, especially colloquialisms.
“Australian spelling has also diverged somewhat from British spelling, with some American spellings incorporated as standard.”
Fucking hell.
Also, assholes who can’t differentiate between what is simply their opinion/preference and what is actually true and correct.
Jury Duty.
FUCK!
Having worked in retail for almost 7 years I could write a 1000 word essay about how customers can be an arsehole.
My favorite so far has been a man trying on jeans and being helped out by one of my employees. He mentioned to her that they jeans felt to tight and while pointing at me standing behind the counter said “I don’t want to look like that faggot” (I was wearing some fairly slim jeans).
He finally found some he liked then started asking the girl who was helping him for a discount on the already half price jeans, she said he’d have to ask the manager and pointed over to me. I gave him a wave and said “50% off sale just ended buddy”. He didn’t end up buying anything …
Well there you go. SNAP. On a serious note but, Heavymetal, are like 1000 of your 5000 some odd posts just criticisms and “use the search function”. Fuck me mate, recon I’ll post “people who constantly write use the search function” in the things that arse/ass holes do thread. Laugh out loud.
^^ elenty billion points to your workmate, GH.
I’ve also seen this done. by a Scot no less! I didn’t know his name, we just called him The Scot.
Maybe you should use the search function to see if 1000 of his posts are that?
probably big al.
from memory (which is by no means accurate) he worked in melbourne for a while…
When you get into work drenched from the rain and some arse says
“Oh is it raining outside?” or “Get a bit wet did you?”
sarcastically
note, this arse may or may not sit near me at work.
I could also add, people who think that all mods do, apart from clandestine meetings with secret handshakes, is tell people to use the search function. Yeah… well we do, but that’s because lots of people post questions which have (a) already been asked and (b) already been answered.
Non-Americans who use American ‘variations’ of English are arseholes. Many historians agree that Americans fought a war for the right to sully the once great English language.
Programme. Colour. Behaviour. Centre. Humour. Litre. Arsehole.
People who when granted permission to borrow/take something of yours on one occasion go on to take those things from you without asking in the future.
People who shake hands on a deal/agreement then have no qualms about revoking it.
Strangers who ask for cigarettes. No I am not your smoky brother, a member of some secret nicotine society that looks after its kin. Fuck off.
Anglers who cast over/across you.
People who think it’s funny to cheat at friendly games of cards/monopoly/chess.
People who borrow clothes and then return them soiled/damaged.
People who interrupt. Which is me, so I’m an arsehole but at least I’m aware of it.
