Post your roadie

There was one on eBay last week - your size, 62 c-t. Is the corsa extra the top o’ the line model?

i have the same frame with the same paint job in 59 sitting in my room right now, thinking of going with chorus 9spd, but my fork is painted to match, and also the paint job is quite beat up but still beautiful

san esteban i think its one down, they made a frame called the ‘max’ for a while i think or somthing similar

Happy with the Battaglin at the moment  will post next week when i get the 7400 seat post which will complete the groupset

My first road bike.

Saronni (technotrat not Colnago) with Campagnolo Super Record.

Frame was rough as guts, but it sparked the start of many more road projects.

Frame went to the fyxxxation guy - remember that?

The groupset is now on Shifterbike’s Tommasini Super Prestige.

I love old road bikes, but modern pedals are a blessing even if they look arse.

My PURSUIT by Wayne Roberts (S.A).
Columbus SL with NOS Suntour Sprint 9000 gearing and brake calipers. Superbe Pro levers with NOS CLB gum hoods.
Regal saddle, MKS pedals, original wheels (Suntour/Ambrosio) re-built by Shifterbikes.
*I could use some 7 speed, Sprint 9000 or Superbe Pro down tube shifters if anyone has any.

My Casati:

Columbus brain
record 10sp with alloy cranks and brakes
regal
cinelli stem, bars
campy aero post
converted shamals (8sp - 10sp courtesy of fyxomatosis)
build by Shifter

A good bike to hammer on the flat:

Colnago super (now moved on) with Chorus 9 spd:

Me looking chuffed on the Merckx
Merckx corsa also columbus brain
same stuff as on the casati but with open pros and the 2006 alloy record hubs - my main ride:

“The Snot Rocket”
Crack’n’Fail Criterium 3.0 (circa '93)
Repainted/(obviously) re-decaled from the original red by previous owner
Started as a mixed 8sp - now 9spd all ultegra w/ DA cranks
DA hubs to Mavic open CD (front)/open pro (rear)
Black arione (like all my bikes :-D)
thomson post/no name stem/cinelli bars
panaracer stradius elite TG tyres (25s) - amazing ‘daily driver’ tyres
super tight geo and fast off the mark, but damn Alu frames can be a harsh ride!

Reynolds 501SL South African-made Zini. Campy Veloce 10-speed gear, Ambrosio wheels.

2010 Malvern Star C5, 105, Gipiemme XR-30 on Ultegra hubs.

Now looks more like this:

with Ksyrium Equipes and decent bar tape.

good to see you Jim

Hope you are taking good care of that oppy and your LBS score!

If by ‘taking good care’ you mean ‘riding as often as possible’, then yeah, I’m doing that…

Wet thread.

it’s been on the forum before but here’s jim bundy again anyway…

Jim Bundy frame with Columbus SL tubing and Campag fork ends and drop outs, chrome forks with cool little columbus doves embosed into the fork crown.

I know a lot of people on here have an aversion for bull horn bars but I find them really comfortable, I dont know why but they always seem to look soooooooooo much longer in pics than they actually are.

Wayne Roberts built pursuit. 1x7 105 (old school) commuter.
Reynolds 531db, (Currently running with 165 Shimano 600 arabesque cranks)

Malvern star A4 with swapped out tyres and saddle for w/end/RDO lycra cruising.
