Welcome to the Jungle Dan…

Gloss black decal set, or saying stealth?

that’s it Dave, gloss black. Jase started a trend…

wow!

Staying with the Stealth Black theme… here’s my freshly built Colnago E1 by Dan @ Shifter Bikes

^ very nice. what wheels are they?

38mm china carbon laced with Phil Wood spokes to Campag Record hubs.

Why go colnago frame, super record and then get chinese rims?
*not trolling, serious question…

Because he already dropped tonnes on the rest, and if they come built and endorsed by Shifter then why not?

EDIT: fuggin rad steed, always liked the look of integrated bar stem combo.

because as green machine said, these components built by dan, they’ll perform just as good as most rims out there for the price cheaper than factory built campag (less than 1K)… yes i could of just purchased a set of campag bora or bullets (at least 1K) but i’ve never been a fan of the decals on them and it wouldn’t suit my build that i had in mind… i wanted something not too deep dish and subtle… the only wheelset i would of liked for the build but couldnt afford would be a set of enve 45s (at least 2K)

Hubba Hubba… Nice build Mate.

that is a loooong reach for the stack height. you must have a long torso or long hands.

based on?

Cool thanks:)
Like i said, certainly not a diss on the bike/wheels! Just curious if they offered something you couldn’t find elsewhere and I’ve never looked into them myself so don’t know really much about them
The c-record hubs are great btw…Have been running them on my colnago for a year or so without fault

one of many road bikes, picked up this Superlight a few weeks ago. Near pristine 55cm top tube…

Superlight3ride.jpg

Just finshed cleaning up this Paconi, stamped as number 79.

59 Seat Tube and 57cm Top tube C-C, running full Campy 6 speed.

Does anyone know how old this would be?

Very nice to ride.

you could probably call them up and they’d tell you.

tho i’ve heard old mate is a bit crook at the moment. you should probably send flowers too.

Been tinkering in the shed, when I should have been mowing the “lawn”:

XL Lynskey Helix
Record 11 + Rotor Q
Bit of Easton EC90 (fork, post, bars, stem is EA90)
Bit of Chris King
Home-grown wheelset - OP on silver Record, 32/3x

This is the sweetest bike I have ever ridden.

^ what’s the max tyre width the EC90 fork can take?

Nice bike too.

I run 25s…I doubt you’d get a 28 in there

Ta.
