What’s the groupset on the Bridgey?

If it’s all stock, I’d stick with it as it is personally. Looks rad.

Keep it stock, sell it to me next year as a kid carrier.

Shimano DX [see catalogue post above]

Yeah all stock except for the seat post. Tubes even have Bridgestone stamped on them.

V nice Gypsy

I love this Ti Team Marin dripping in Syncros.

^^^^^ me Too

like.

Fat Chance on prolly.

Thought I’d post a few pictures of an incredibly nice MTB I picked up a few years ago. It was too small for me so I moved it on to a friend, still ‘in the family’.

Reynolds 531 triple triangle, unknown builder but likely local. Gorgeous fade paint, mostly Suntour XC Pro components. XC Seat post was cracked so I replaced it, and it originally came with a Rolls saddle. Haven’t seen anything as nice since.

26" → 650b convertable, 4 water bottle mounts…

I remember seeing that on BNA (?) I think. Rad frame, that FORK though!!!

I wanted a pair of these so bad for aaaaages! Now they come up in my size, locally, and I’ve lost interest. If anyone wants them I can grab them for you and send em on.

Yes please! Pmd

I had the camera out today and took the opportunity to take photos of my bikes, been meaning to do it for a while.

Here’s my 1984 Miyata Ridge Runner. Mostly original mix of Suntour, Sugino, Nitto and Dia Compe, with a newer 7 speed Deore LX/Ritchey wheel set and super wide Phil BB. I retired the Mountech derailleur as they had a reputation for throwing themselves into the spokes, and the original suede saddle was peeling. Also replaced the seat post with a Suntour XC.
Definitely my favourite bike.

This is great.

Also took some piccies of Brooke’s Apollo Everest MTB commuter. It’s probably an '87, maybe '88 or '89. There was a lot of screwing around to get the BMX standard head tube and stem size to work with anything but flat bars, and I gave up on it for a while. But after reading about this 1988 cross Australia MTB adventure on the same bike, I found an SR slingshot stem and made it work with some Nitto Bosco bars. Rebuilt with a 7 speed thumbie group set, fenders and racks.

Such good fun. Super weird handling in comparison to a modern 29ers.

And for good measure, here’s my MTB loaner - A 1989 Giant Escaper with a 7 speed thumbie group set and sweet paint. I decided to leave the frozen stiff Girvin flex stem and Velocity bar ends, because matchey matchey. Hopefully I can get somebody along on a dirt ride soon.

The Giant is my favourite

FTFY. Grab the BB code on Flickr and post that instead.
I saw this somewhere, super nice. Can’t beat a fleck paint job.
