Show us your Bike Caves...

yeah! lovely work bench and natural light

Blimey. I just spread a bit of canvas on the living room floor and get out the battered old red tool box.

You’ve even got a lathe!

Well… two lathes…

But building bikes is my profession

tc: i used to log into bna back in the olden days just to read your posts.

Lamentably, I no longer have a bike cave.

Thanks. That’s going back a bit. The old forum looks and feels very different these days (not a criticism)

want to store my bikes in a more efficient way, want to make use of the mezzanine somehow. Was thinking of simply putting hooking into the edge of the mezzanine then hang the mtbs horizontally

No ceiling is a bonus. Probably not beardo approved but I imagine them hanging from a rope / winch system.

been rejigging over the last couple of days.
finally got started on my workbench, it now has lighting and a solid surface (not a hollow ikea thing which as now the lighted ‘ceiling’ at the top). since the picture ive painted the side ‘stopshitfromfallingoffpieces’ the same grey as the bench and the floor.
when all my crap arrives from various cheap ebay stores i’ll be making the backboard, which will be wired to control lighting, aux powers, moosics, heaters and vacuum cleaners as well as being useful to further stop shit from falling off.
the pictured filing cabinet is entirely bikeshit filled, with oil/grease/cleaning/other stuff in the top drawer and bitsnbobs/parts in the other two.

not pictured is my park stand drilled into the wall, but it’s there.

Space is tight, but i’ve managed to hang four completes and a couple of framesets in the corner by the door.

Bit more tidying up, hung the monsterslate.

spent a couple of minutes trying to find you in the shot!

ha! wrong thread mate!

put up the second bike on the wall. Roadie and CAPO are in the bike room inside.

Work in progress, more pics on the 'gram - wife for scale

That footing is 8 m3 of concrete as it has to be self supporting as the back fence is on a 1200mm retaining wall. It cantilevers over the retaining wall.

That wife could be any size.

best one yet.

Actually loosing my shit Ezy

that aint no cave, its a damn palace

Palatial cave is palatial

Roof on, doors in, two wall clad in FireStop and tin. Sarking done ready for Alucabond cladding on the front two sides.
