Show us your Bike Caves...

Welcome to the pink room. I’m told the FireStop is R1.2, sarking R1. R2.5 in walls and R5.0 in roof space.
I’ll be on the tools next week sorting out a bespoke, CNC routed, ply wood panel arrangement for the ceiling.

First fix is the best fix. All of the cables - data, alarm/security, FM, TV, mains, switch wires back to the main house.

dat 32mm conduit for ‘future projects’ thou…

Still some more work to do in the rest of the shed but I am getting closer.

Progress

In honour of your new digs I put a rug down on the dirt floor of my bike basement. Really ties the room together.

^^ Joint alignment approved.

Was thinking the same thing.

#applestore levels of aluminium jointing. How good is removing the protective film?

There are no accidents with this #ocd

Also wonky picture is wonky. Will get DSLR out for a couple of pics when the weather gets better.

Just get John Gollings out.

Should have bought a Tilt/Shift for the Mamiya RB67

R5.0? Fark. We only put R3.7 in the roof of commercial premises!

Getting very close. Most of the 2nd fix electrical is done and the outside is finished accept for the bit of panel I need to cut to go under the eave.

Had the concrete guy around this morning to measure up for exposed aggregate paths from the room back to the house.
Something very similar to this.

Did a sample ceiling panel out of MDF at the workshop earlier in the week. Came up a treat.
Still sorting fastener depending on whether I want to be able to pull the panels down in the future.

Final panels will be made from Hoop pine plywood, natural with a 2 pack satin clear.

The way it’s going lately with big houses we have r5.0 and 6.0 in a lot of areas it’s crazy.

made it look just a tiny bit less like a tip:

House settled a few weeks back, its probably a little more room than i need (about a 11m x 6m).

First job is to remove the horrid sliding doors, years of wear and tear mean they are a pain to open and close.
