For those not checking in on the “post your latest purchase” thread, myself and a buddy have just opened a bar called 99 Problems at 31 Johnston St, Collingwood.

It’s cosy, it’s dark, awesome staff and it’s got a pretty tasty booze selection if we do say so ourselves.

A nice vibe for those who wanna chill with a quality drop in other words.

I’ve always wondered how these come about. Is it just a matter of putting in a request for as many or few as you want? and they just comply(or not comply)?

I’ve noticed a few bars that seem to be struggling with bike parking. I think The Stardard has maybe one ‘semi circle’ out the front to lock to.

Also, I am pretty (very) excited to check this place out.

When returning from a ride out to the Dandenongs, it’s at about that point on Johnston st where everyone tends to peel off to their respective homes - could make for a perfect post ride beer location.
It’s also on my commute home, so will be swinging by soonish.

i (barely) remember my first visit, the service was exquisite!

nice atmos, nice wallpaper, nice light globes(!). they even made me a cocktail that wasnt on the menu cos it was my bday.
also, cleanest toilet you’ll ever see in a bar!
