Having never really ridden anything than the Kona Rove that’s currently my all-rounder, I’d say it’s pretty great. Would imagine that it’s too comfy for proper CX racing, but a bit too sporty for touring, but sits nicely somewhere between.

Wow, single speed is still alive here! I am still happily riding my v4 Pompino as a daily commuter with a Wald 137 basket. I don’t need anything more. The only thing I wish it had was disc brakes, but it was pointed out to me by the folks on LFGSS that this complicates wheel purchases and so forth, thus increasing the cost of the whole project.
My next steps are to switch my normal drop bars to some Salsa cowbells to give me a little more clearance between the drops and the basket, new tape, new brake cables, and fitting my new front wheel with a 33c tyre to replace the old Shimano R500 with a 23c on it.
