SS CX - options?

I don’t want to take anything away from an otherwise beautiful bike but setting up dirt drops like so defeats the purpose of them. There’s no way they would be comfortable to descend in the drops with that setup. All the weight from your upper body would be centred on the arch between your thumb and index finger, rather than across your palm—and would make it very uncomfortable in that position.

EDIT: its easier to see what I mean from the photo on Adam’s Instagram

Yeh, totally agree.
Good thing about bars is you can reposition them.

Sorry to be a naysayer. Those Prova bikes are pretty nice huh.

Yeah, all the ones I’ve seen are pretty nice. Even the MTBs (which I don’t understand) look good. That #ontrend650bTourer is pretty outstanding.

I’ve got some pretty excellent detail photos to share soon

I am going to form a GoFundMe page to get people to pay for my Prova. Because I work full time.

Seems like a reasonable and measured approach.

so i might see if i can get some second hand cowbells to see if i like them.

the short drop specialized ones i have stm seem okay. just need thicker tape.

I’ve had these for years on gravel/CX bikes. Sweet bars. Lizardskin 3.2 and you’ll be shw8.

Yeh the 3.2mm tape is boss

yeah i run 3.2 fizik on the roadie, but this bikes got the 1.5 lizard skin from memory.

Seriously considering getting one as a commuter. I have a spare saddle and front rack. I could easily get some decent cheap risers and full mudguards for it.

wait for gumtree bargains?

Just going to wait for a sale maybe.

Charge Plug Disc

Looks heavy

i wished they did a steel instead of an alu version.

It’d be even heavier if they did.

Charge Plug 0 is steel, Plug 1,2,3,4 are Alu and Plug 5 is Titanium.

same with the Charge Cooker.

Rode a (steel) plug once a few years back. It was the shittiest cross bike I’ve ever ridden. Horrible geometry back then, don’t know if they’ve tinkered with the numbers since.
