Talk me into/out of getting an SE Lager

+1
I am in the process of turning my Lager from a VB into at least a Crownie (which is vb in nicer packaging). Could be a while before I get it into an Asahi.

(which is vb in nicer packaging)

Crown is a lighter smoother beer taken from the top of the vat where as VB is the darker bitter taken from the bottom.

err… vb isnt bitter. fyi, it’s lager
much the same as GB, MB etc are also lagers :stuck_out_tongue:

if you want bitter, it’s pretty much england or nothing

Happy ending!

Picked up an old lugged ricardo with tange 2 that has got fresh paint and a flip flop hub.

Components are nice, no deep v’s but I’m not big on them anyway.

Rides really nice, been riding fixed tonight and it nearly kicked my ass big time. I think attempting bunny hops in the first hour is a bad idea

Photos to come!

crown is just VB with a bow tie on…

Whatever ,
I just drink Boags Draught or anything on tap anyway.

So I ate it big time after all. Was riding fixed (which I think is really difficult for someone who had ridden free on all his other tools) and just plugging along with my girl. Next thing you know I’m in hospital.

Fractured face… Check. Bleeding brain… Check. Stitches… Check. Needless to say I got ejected really well. Hospital for 2 days and chance of surgery on the face, purely cosmetic. Still groggy though.

Very happy to have a flip flop as won’t be fixed for a while. Bike seems ok, seats twisted and brakes rub… So I hope she’s straight and just needs adjustment.

First day fixed… Fuxed!

Um - Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Maybe they can make you look like David Hasselhoff?

I hope you recover OK.

did you run into a parked car? pole? truck?
why was fixed the problem?

Pain is weakness leaving the body,

I saw this reality TV show once on the foreign legion, the instructor said this all the time.

My girlfriend and I are training for a marathon this year - I will be saying it a lot too.

Hope it wasn’t too bad :|. My guess is you lost concentration and decided to try to coast? Almost did the same thing once adjusting my bag. Lucky I was going slow and it only gave me a small kick, I imagine if you were doing any kind of speed though it would result in a pretty nasty jolt followed by your bike spitting you off in disgust. You’d be on the deck before you even realised what had happened.

Bingo, went for the coast subconciously out of habit and bam next thing I know is I’m throwing up blood in hospital. Nothing wrong with the fixed per se, just my concentration. I hit nothing, but was probably trucking along about 40-45 when I dismounted onto my face

50 50 chance of putting my cheek back where it belongs. If not I’ll have a new dimple so do I go under the knife? Found out I have three hefty breaks in my cheek.

Other than that, I do like looking at my bike :stuck_out_tongue:

Jesus. Glad you’re ok.

I only ever suffered a gentle nudge towards the bars.

At least you weren’t there when it happened.

Holy shit glad your alright.
speed humps are always fun doing around 40 or so :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks snowflake,
There’s a chance I was perched up looking for my girl when all went downhill. Atleast that would explain it. Had one or two other events toward the bars while trying some things so I figure I must have been ‘special’ to get ejected so large.
